Which model should i get?

I need 2 buy a ps3 but not sure which!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want 2 get either the 80g or 40g. I already have a ps2 so i dont need BC. I really would rather have the 80g but wont be able 2 get any games or i could get the 40g mosel and 2 games. i want the 20gig most but its out of the picture b/c they r really hard 2 find.

what else would i need it 4 besides demos and i delete them once i get the game or dont like them

Well go for the 40GB

Well, in your situation i think that the 40 gig would be good for you. Pick it up since you dont need bc, and with the saved money get an extra game or 2. I think that would be the best option..

I personally got the 60,best SKU out of all of them imo. Has all features and stuff.

buy a 40 gig and upgrade the hard drive to a 250gb hard drive using gamespot's guide. the drive itself should only cost around $80. Sony charging $100 for 20gb increments...ridiculous....... or you could just screw ps3's altogether and get a 360. most games are going to be coded for 360 hardware anyway, so the ps3 wont even get to use all that power for muti-platform games. the ps3 isnt going to be anything great (even the president of valve said "the ps3 is just a waste of money and time") besides, seeing as how the 360 is the best selling console on the market followed by the Wii and the ps3 in last place (the ps3 is getting it's A$$ kicked bythe WII!!! how bad does a console have to suck to be beaten by such a novelty?) so do yourself (and Sony, by putting it out of it's misery) a favor and get a 360. no, I'm not a console player. i don't even own a 360 or a Wii but even as a PC player (oh, and i h8 Microsoft) i can realize when a console just plain sucks. so if you really think you need a shiny black paperweight, get a 40gb and upgrade it. it wont even do anything to the warranty.joe11king

its actually $400 and i want 1 b/c of the games. has great games-ratchet,resistance, warhawk etc. also has great games comin out-littlebigplannet, uncharted,killzone 2,metal gear 4etc.supersmashseal

60 gig in my opinion is the best, has everything best BC the 40 gig in my opinion is lacking. i've used all four usb ports also 40 gigs in my opinion is a bit small took me a while to fill up my 60 gig the extra 20 gigs is nice but not really much of a difference or enough to warrant giving up guaranteed backwards compatibility.

ps2 still has a huge gaming library so my reasoning for getting the 60 gig is that it will give me a much bigger gaming library then the 40. so ill only need one console for all my playstation gaming needs and i can upscale games.

The 20gb is still available BRAND NEW online at gamestop.com.... give that a whirl. Other than that the 80gb is the best deal IMO. Motorstorm is a great game and the BC is still pretty good at 80-85% for PS2 games.

I think that i'm getting the 80 gig because;

1. It costs the same as the 60 gig, but it has more gigs and a game.

2. I'm keeping my PS2 for Guitar Hero. Whatever games that I have for it, i'll try on the 80 gig and see if they work.

3. I just want a ps3. my riends are getting one this C-mas too, I hope
