Hmm, that's better than what the xbox'ers could do so far. Of course, I am going to pass on MGS4 because I haven't played a console shooter since Goldeneye, and it's a nightmare to aim without a mouse after all this time. Demon's Souls is already on my list, and I will have a look at the other one.tt_rssMGS4 doesn't require much aiming, actually. It's nothing like Goldeneye. And, honestly, this game is worth playing not for the action, but the story.

Personally, I will remember Uncharted/Uncharted 2 ten years from now.

I haven't owned a console since Nintendo 64, and I wrote this exact thread on both XBOX and PS3 forums, and somehow I am a fanboy for pointing out that the best the XBOX forum can come up with are driving games, slow-paced, rehashed shooters and even MORE mindless "open world" gangster games that I could play with my legs tied in a knot behind the chair I am sitting on, controlling the stick with my teeth and mashing buttons with my left elbow? That's some marvelous logic right there buddy. At least this forum was able to spit out at least one game(Demon's Soul's) that seems to have some thought and guts put into it.
MGS4 -Very re-memorable story and scenes
Heavy Rain - Same as MGS4
Uncharted series - Awesome hollywood type of scenes
Demon's Souls - Great Atmosphere and online interface
Little Big Planet- Endless amazing user created levels and a lovable charm
God of War series (collection and GOW3) - Awesome boss fights, great take on Greek mythology

If you haven't owned a console since the N64 why are you posting on the PS3 boards ?

It seems he's interested in getting one or the other.
MGS4
LBP
UC2
GoWIII
also probably KZ2 and others lol. idk, kind of a silly question since many games that people love ten years ago are remembered now. Really not THAT hard to be remembered. Sells a lot and bam its remembered.
If you're going to get a PS3 (or any console for that matter), you should be in it for the long haul. The games are only going to get better and better the further we get into this generation. The absolute best games usually come towards the end of a console's lifetime.
I will always remeber
-Little Big Planet - :) for its overall charm and innovation.
-Demon's Souls - for its atmosphere, excellent gameplay and attention to detail.
-Mirror's Edge - For giving me a glimpse of what would it feel like being a parkour. (story could have been better, though.) Speed runs were a blast.
-Metal Gear Solid 4 - THE MICROWAVE! :P seriously play this game even if you haven't touched any game in the mgs series.
-Heavy Rain - trust me with this one. i don't wanna spoil anything.
-Uncharted 2- It has memorable characters and the story, while it doesn't even attempt to be one of the best, is really interesting. pace is perfect. (I would recommend skipping the first one, but that´s just me and my motion sickness)
-Bionic Commando Rearmed - it was hard as hell, but it was really really fun (soundtrack was great too)
-God of war III - I loved every minute of it (especially the final hour)
-Dead space - the game that started it all for me (it marked, to me, the end of the 2007 ps3 games drought). It's no silent hill in the story department but the atmosphere is excellent and downright creepy.
for the mass, MGS4. the game that pratically made PS3. personally i would remember most of the exclusives.
Memorable: MGS4, Assassin's Creed 2, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 1&2, God of War series, I'm sure The Last Guardian will be memorable, Red Dead Redemption (of course that's 360 too), Demon's Souls.
I'm a PC gamer too and most of 360's memorable titles are also on PC. Such as Mass Effect 1&2. Since you own a PC the only things you're really missing out on 360 wise is Halo 3 and Reach, Fable 2 (3 is going to PC), Gears of War 2, and Alan Wake. PS3 would probably be more worth your money since it will open a larger variety of games to you. Nothing at all against the 360 as I play it often, but that's my opinion.
