Hi and thanks for your help. I want to start a PSP game but I don't have that much gaming time now (thank you, work!). I want to be done with the game I pick before Pokemon Black / White come out for the DS a month from today. Which of these PSP games is shorter on your experience?:

Final Fantasy I
Final Fantasy II
Mimana: Iyar Chronicle
Lunar: Silver Star Harmony
Phantasy Star Portable 2
Star Ocean: First Departure
PoPoLoCrois

If you've played any of these games, if you could tell me how long it took you to beat it, that would help me a lot :) Thanks in advance!

I've only finished Lunar and FF1 out of those, and after checking my save files, Lunar clocked in at 38 hours and FF1 clocked in at 24 hours. If you're looking for short RPGs, Ys: The Oath in Felghana clocked in at 11 hours on easy for me. It's a pretty good action RPG.

That is a sad length for an RPG. Is there a lot of extra content?

I probably should have mentioned that the RPG elements are very light, to the point where it might not even be considered an RPG. It's really just an action game. Also, I played this on easy. There's a good chance that you can pull in over 20 hours on harder difficulties.

As for replayability, there is 6 difficulties, and there is a mode where you can just face the bosses (which is pretty fun since the boss battles are awesome). You can also go for a completion run where you collect all items and do all missions.

Seriously, this game is really fun, and one of the best action RPGs out there. Great bosses, great music, and fluid non-stop gameplay really make this awesome. Don't let the short storyline steer you away.

Out of the list you provided, only one that really stands out for me is Lunar: silver star harmony. Its a long game, but it won't take you a month to complete. The game has a really good storyline and it will be well worth it.

I've played through all of FF1, and I believe it took me about 40 hours. Probably because I spent the time to go through that final dungeon multiple times to beat all 4 of the bosses...
