Here's what Ive narrowed it down to. And please dont tell me to get some other game, just comment on whih of these I should get.

  • Valkyria Chronicles (I dont like anime at all, but I love rpgs. What kind of rpg is it really? Really linear, or more free roaming?)
  • Guitar Hero 3 wireless bundle (45 used on amazon) (Had it on 360 played it a lot. Im kind of getting that GH itch to play it again though)
  • COD4 (35 on amazon) (Havent played it in a year, loved it when I did. Will the online community last though?)
  • COD WaW (Im tired of WW2, absolutely sik of WW2, but after COD4, does it have enough to warrant a full priced purchase?)
Any help would be appreciated

COD: W@W. It reinvents the WWII genre. And if you're up for a serious challenge play the game on veteran. You'll break a controller. Plus it has all the COD4 goodness because its a perfect rip off... I mean sequel.

wish I could help but I only know about the cod series. I haven't got to play through W@W yet but it's has to be better than 4, or atleast I would hope.

Well, VC is totally a linear affair due to how it's presented as a retelling of a war through a fictional history book/novel. The game is a Strategy RPG, but it's a largely more focused on the strategy aspect than RPG, and the rpg aspects are really steamlined (for example, you level entire classes of troops rather than individual units). It can last you a little while depending on how proficient you are with strategy and learning how this particular system works. I just finished my first playthrough at around 35 hours, and now I can replay it again with the new game+ feature to keep my stats and try for improved rankings for all of the battles. I'd really suggest playing the demo to get a feel for how it plays.

id suggest Resistance 2, its got a great story mode, with some pretty epic battles.  about 10  mintues in you have a beautiful starwars like scene, and like i said beautiful boss battles.

i wish you could blow limbs off tho, anyone else feel me? first boss lolz

for me it would have to be COD WAW. it is WW2 but it is also amazing!!! multiplayer is endless!!! and the single player campaign is pretty cool aswell not to mention the unlocked zombie level at the end of the single player campaign!!!!
