If you prefer variety, go with GTA IV. If you wish only to kill others, go with COD.

\CHeck it out.. for online-- COD4 rocks. Gta online is fun once in a while.. but not that much

for single player. Gta4 is better.. i beat cod4 in a couple hours.

pricewise, i think cod4 is pretty cheap compared to gta4 like 35$ used i believe. buy it first unless you really like the gta series and youre a big fan.. if your more of a hardcore first person shooter id go for cod4. i bought both and played a lot of cod4 before starting gta4 (i bought them at the same time) and now that i played a lot of cod4, i play gta..

+ for cod4.. whenever your just bored, online is a blast. Get a mic

COD4 is arguably the best online game. GTA IV online doesn't come close. I don't think anyone even plays ranked games on GTA IV anymore.
