Could anybody help? I'm not that much of a zombie shooter, and games too scary of creepy really don't give me much kick, so I don't think I'm gonna buy more than one copy of the following games: Metro 2033, Resident Evil 5, Dead Space 2, Fallout 3, and the Last of Us. could u please do me a favor and recommend a best one for me? Thank u!

It depends on what you like. I personally love Borderlands but! it is not a clean shooter game. If you are a fps fan you will be pissed that you shoot a guy in the head and he is not dead, just some points kame out of him. The same goes with Fallout. It is simply amazing but also the same like in borderlands and Rage. I will tell you how long(this is important) the games are so you don't spend money on somethink that lasts for 2 days-one week but makes you play a long time. So from the longest to the shortest. 1.Fallout 3-maybe it will even bother you after some time. 2.Borderlands. The first one is very unique with all kinds of different oponents and humor above all. 3.Rage., 4.Dead Space-Recomend it because it is a shocker not worse than the original and has a nice story and graphics., 5. Metro 2033- scary as hell and nice., 6.Resi Evil 5- now an action game :P. I think that i would recomend Dead Space 2 for you because of the allround story and all. It's right in the middle of story, scary, shooting, survival and all the other S words :). The other ones i didn't play so i just say nothing to it. Cheers :)

I would say Fallout 3 or New Vegas, either Dead Space game, or the Borderlands games. I don't know if BioShock would count as post-apocalyptic but if it does I would get BioShock and BioShock 2 over the others.

Just a bit of warning: Fallout 3 has been known to have some seriously godawful slowdown / lag and major freezing issues on the PS3. It seems to be somewhat hit-or-miss, and your own tolerance for those issues may not make the game unplayable to you. I'm not sure the problem was ever patched, or if it was even something that could be fixed. Just something you might want to consider. As far as recommendations... Without knowing exactly what you'd want from a post-apocalyptic shooter, it's hard to recommend anything, as each of the games on your list is wildly different in terms of atmosphere and overall experience.

I'd recommend Fallout 3, its a great game but I felt its more of an RPG than a proper shooter. Borderlands is also a good choice, its a bit similar to Fallout 3 but its a bit more focused on the shooting aspect though not by much. Dead Space is a flat out horror game is has a heavy focus on the environment and suspense, if creepy/scary games don't matter much to you then its probably not what you're looking for. Resident Evil 5 seems to be more of an action/shooter game compared to previous RE titles from what I've heard. But I also heard the AI for your ally isn't very good and often you'll find yourself in these awkward situations. Don't know much about Metro 2033 so can't help you there.

That's tough, all those games are/will be amazing and should all be played. For now, Fallout 3.

Get Fallout 3, it's the best post-apocalyptic shooter ever, much better than The Last of Us, Borderlands and Resident Evil 5. Fallout 3 has the story, the environment, the lore and the weapons but it plays more like an RPG and is not strictly an FPS since you can go third-person. RAGE is also a great game but only if you have the patience to play it.

Better than The Last of Us? Not only is that unlikely, but it's yet to be released for months...

Well, much better than the gameplay bits I've seen if you want it that way.

out of the games you listed, id recommend fallout 3 the most (if you can get the original version without the DLC bundled in. it actually runs pretty well now and i keep hearing about how terrible the DLC runs in the other versions). however, be advised that you probably wouldnt want to play it like a shooter. its more of a roleplaying game that's at its best when the player is pausing to pick their target.

borderlands 2 is another good choice although it isnt on your list. while it does have some rpg elements, it is much more friendly towards playing it like a shooter.

Well...at the moment...definitely Borderlands 2. Once The Last of Us comes out, I think it will be that. Though, I'm not sure if it can be classified as a shooter. Borderlands 2 is obviously a shooter, and a very addicting one at that.

fps or tps??? if you are purely looking for an on-rails post apocalyptic shooter i do not have any suggestions, the "newer" games tend to take on an open world stance, fallout series is pure rpg and borderlands series (though not apocalyptic but -ish with sci-fi twist) is a mixture of fps and rpg with a lot of grinding (which i enjoy a lot)... rage almost falls into the same category but has tighter controls (imho), i loved that game as well but between the three borderlands series is my favorite... :)

If you want a rail shooter, you should get Terminator Salvation. It's an extremely underrated game and although it has only like 12 missions, the graphics are great and there are many awesome moments. It also has an easy platinum :P

The Last of Us looks promising, Metro 2033 is also definitely worth getting. Completely irrelevant, but if you've got a decent PC then you absolutely must go for the Stalker series, honestly the best post-apocalyptic-esque game out there.
