I see no point in prestiging. I hit level 55 awhile ago, but hardly play anymore. So any time I feel like jumping in again, I'd rather have my full arsenal to fight with.

exactly, it's one of the dumbest things i've seen for an online game. You mean I get to lose everything that I spent hours working for in order to get a new little picture next to my name? Yippee! Not.
Meh, i'm on the gold cross AKa tenth prestige. Prestige doesn't really do anything special. Would have been more worth it if they gave you like an extra perk or some kinda different looking npc models to choose. I just did it since I like doing the challenges. It gave me something to work towards everytime I booted up the game.
stopped at 2nd prestige because i realized it was slightly pointless, i have blue tiger for every weapon and the golden AK now, much better than a different little icon.

Uh.... You need red tiger for every assault weapon to get the golden AK not blue.

That is impossible. You need red tiger for all assault rifles for a golden AK.

i meant blue tiger for every other weapon, i have all the Assualt rifle challenges completed.
3rd prestige (green colored badge) level 55 for the past few months....
love my red tiger m16a4......but want my p90 to be golden instead of red tigered (damn it's an ugly gun hahaa) so just using the dudd skorpion etc workin them all up to 150 headshots in smg

You can always tell the little girls who stop on their first or second prestige because they are always running around with a P90 or AK. I salute the prestige mode and all its glory.
Yeah, i was a maniac when it first came out. Hit the G.C pretty quick, but after that there isn't much to do. You have your bad days and goods. Overall it was a fun ride with all your buddies and sheet. I guess i did it just because i like accomplishing everything i can in a game. I still play occasionally with my bro and a few friends, but GTAIV is my next project.

lvl55 2nd, and im not doing it anymore, only reason i did it twice is because i hated the symbol for the first prestige. Its funny that some people in the game actually think prestige means something, one of the guys i play with never went prestige but has well over 60,000 kills.

Call of duty takes no skill its got to be the easiest online game ive ever played everything is like one hit kill
only thing that takes skill is acog for snipers and RPG's xD

No point for me at least. I've been at 55 for the past 3 months or so. I just don't want to start the entire process over for bragging rights. I just play for fun pretty much. That's not to say that you do not play for fun though.

Some people play for fun! I've played for hours and not reached prestige once. I gotta life! You can go and collect level ups all you want. I''l collect friends, beer and a social life.
Im level 21 of the third prestige level. I didn't even wait around at 55 the first time I went back to level 1 immediately. I have always loved restarting games even if I dont beat them. I find the beginning parts to games to be the most fun and challenging. This fits perfectly for me so as soon as I hit 55 I was level 1 again and I'll continue that until I get bored of this game or Resistance 2 comes out which ever happens first. Either way I wont be playin CoD anymore....
Actually once Little Big Planet comes out I will be occupied...can't wait for that game....
Well spoken from a guy who has 2 friends, isnt old enough to drink, and thinks a social life is yahtzee fridays with grandma. Leveling up is the most fun in the game. Theres a reason why it is collecting dust on a lot of peoples shelves, nothing challenging you to get any better. Remember to put water in your dad's vodka bottle so he wont find out.
i did it twice, and then i stopped. most useless thing ever. if i were doing prestige i would most likely be maxed at this point as i have over 400K+ points and 35K+ kills. oh and the only reason i did it twice is becausethe first medal looks stupid. yeah im serious, really that's the only reason.
