im not sure which ps3 is right for me, the 80g, 60g, or the 40g? i want a ps3 and be able to play endless amounts of games on it. not planing to have tons of movies , pics, music ect. just gaming, maybe a few pics or songs. go high or does it sound like id be better off with low? im not that technologically inclined so im asking you guys. thanks in advance.buster007
I would go with the 60 gb model. It comes with fully backwards ompatibility, meaning you can play basically all PS1 and PS2 games on it.

i agree with the 60 gb tooIf you can, get the 60GB, only if you want full BC. If space is an issue and you don't care too much about full BC, get the 80GB.
Good luck finding them though, since they've both been discontinued.
Us early adopters of the 60GB will tell you thats the best model but their hard to find. I saw one sell on ebay for $650.00. Good luck finding one!!I_Helios_I
Its called amazon my friend, currently 410 and up.......
ok, lets try this....
question 1: does the 80g play ps2 and ps1 games?
question 2: does the 60g play ps2 and ps1 games? (i dont care how hard it is to find)
question 3: does the 40g play ps2 and ps1 games?
if anyone can give me a simple answer to these 3 questions and any other helpfull info on these 3 ps3's i would really appreciate it. thanks in advance everyone.:D

80 gb has limited backwards compatibility for ps1 and ps2
60 gb has full backwards compatibility for ps1 and ps2
40 gb has no backwards compatibility whatsoever.
There you go.
