Any of the "Greatest Hits" titles under $20 are good to start off with. Then do some research yourself before getting any full priced games.. It also 100% depends on your taste. You can ask this on a forum and get 100 different answers on what games are good.  You also should check the review on games.
Make your own decision, why should you ask a stranger? Get an opinion based on internet reviews, go for games you want or like the sound of, it's okay to make a few mistakes when choosing games (believe me i once choose Pursuit Force!) There's no point in asking people because you don't even give people something to go on. As in "i dont like this, but i really like that type of game" If your really stuck for ideas why not just stay put for a few days or browse the internet until you find something.
