Good Afternoon All,

I fly a lot on business, and I was considering a PSP to play some games, download some music to, and perhaps watch a movie on to help the boredom.

I've looked on some websites to get opinions, and I see a royal pissing contest as to whether the 2000 vs. 3000 is thw ay to go [scan line/ghosting issues] , so I'm asking for help here.

I've been known to play FPS's and WOW when I'm home, so games are an important part of the equation, as is size and portability for the airplane issue.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Fat

either one works fine, but ive heard that the psp 3000 gets screen problems. get the 2000, no screen problems, and i doubt that the 3000 is that much thinner.

Hmm..I think a PSP Slim/2000 would fit you fine. I recommend buying a 1GB or 2GB memory stick. If you want more, get a 4GB. You won't be disappointed with the PSP Slim :)

They are about 90% similar, the build in mic for skype will likely go un-used (only usable near a wi-fi network)
And the screen is upgrade is un-noticable

I dont believe in the whole screen tearing yet, i saw the psp3000 as a demo in the stores i couldent see anything of the aledged issues. but as goes with ANY new console/handheld there are often kinks that get worked out after the first month in retail

I wouldn't go out of my way for one seeing how similar they are. If you want to buy one now get the 2000, if you wait for a little while just see how the news evolved and get the slightly-superrior 3000

Just look at your screen, if you cant see any problems then there are none.

Fast moving objects is supposed to give a ghosting effect.

ghosting is where after a image is moved you still see a faint image on its original location.
On a screen where there is alot going on at once this can really drag down a games visuals.
The PSP2000 also has this effect, most notisable while playing monster hunter for me but rumors have it that some 3000's show an increase in ghosting when compared to older models.
