Which psp system is the best?

I want your opinion on which psp you think is the best. Original,2000,3000,go etc.

The 2000, 3000 or any thing before the GO. The Go got rid of the use of the UMDs that all the gamers use. I've got all theses UMDs and the Go has no way to use the games. A waist of money unless Sony does some thing about it.

If you absolutely do not care about having a physical copy of a game then the Go is the best, not to mention it feels much more comfortable in your hands than the originals.Me, I never gave a rats @ss about UMDs and I already have a pretty large collection PS1 games I bought from the PSN store so the Go with it's 16gb storage is the best for me.Only problem about the Go is it's price but it's bound to go down soon.Rockman999

The 2000. The 1000's clunky and it takes hours for games to load, you can't see anything between the interlacing on the 3000's screen and the increase in the screen's brighness drains the battery life beyond existence, and the the Go's screen is too tiny, it's too small and holding it causes your hands to cramp, there's no games for it on PSN, and the only games available cost 2~3 times the retail price.

And no, I'm not just saying that because I have a 2000 :P

That is probably the one I am going to buy.

I have the PSP 1000 but I like the 3000 the best the brightness on the screen is a lot better. But I like to have my games on UMD plus the download store charges twice as much for a download most times but like Tekken 6 which is around £25 on UMD but £31.99 on the Playstation store it's pathetic. Then Smackdown vs Raw 2010 it was £19.99 on UMD around christmas in my local game store Gamestation but £31.99 on the Playstation store. The Playstation store also doesn't have every PSP title on the store so your still missing out on some great titles and you can games cheaper used.

How much memory does 1 game download take?

I have had all PSP systems, all are good & all depends on you.

PSP 1000 - Probably the cheaper option & can do the least.

PSP 2000 - The up grade. With additional features & lighter too.

PSP 3000 - Probably more expensive than the other two. Far more advanced in features etc then the PSP 1000, but only a small upgrade from PSP 2000.

PSP GO - The most expensive at the moment and a total change in direction, The more portable option & more radical change in style. I could argue why you should buy the Go or not to buy it.

I still own a PSP 3000 & PSP GO. And at this moment in time I play the PSP GO & thats what I prefer. I download games from Sony PSN for my PSP GO & my son gets a legal copy for his PSP 3000 for the cost of one download. So in a way I get a game free or another copy at least. If you wish me to list why I like the PSP Go just ask.

1. Its the most portable system. In the reference to the size of the unit & the fact you can have all the games on the 16gb Hdd or M2 add on card.

That means no game cases, UMD;s or large bulky unit. I travel with my job so this design suits me.

2. As sad as this sounds kids of today & adults can be lazy. I'm no exception LOL, no more swapping UMD;s when I want to change games.

3. its cool to look at and the slide option is brill.

4. Its lighter.

5. It has bluetooth.

6. It can be used as a Skype phone - built in speakers & microphones.

7. It has Music Sense (Sony)

8. Hook PS3 controller through bluetooth. Hook up the PSP GO through the TV.

9. Read comics, watch videos, go on the internet etc.

It looks as if the features of a PSP Go would suit e better considering I do a lot of traveling. This definitely looks like the better option.

PSP 1000 - Largest & heaviest with inferior directional pad and not enough RAM for loading = not a good choice (I have one and never use it anymore)

PSP 2000 - Fairly light, although still a bit bulky and the UMD drive is a little louder (although the 3000 has this problem too). Battery life is excellent with the long life stamina battery and early models have a lot of "flexibility" although I won't really go there...

PSP 3000 - Screen has better contrast and less ghosting than 2000; however, screen interlacing issues detract from the quality a little. Has a built-in mic (2000 does not).

PSP Go - Smallest and lightest of all the PSPs, with nice slider design and 16GB internal memory. These features make the Go a very tempting choice for me as I always bring along a portable gaming device with me. This thing is VERY POCKET FRIENDLY! Plus, no UMD drive means the device is extremely quiet (perfect for gaming while in class LOL!). This can also be a negative as your current UMD collection will NOT be playable on the Go and you MUST purchase games directly from the PSN (less sales, all download). The control layout is also quite good with the analog stick in a more comfortable position for extended use.

I have over 40 UMDs (games, movies, a few TV shows) and they will all become useless should I get a Go, so I still need my 2000 for those.

That being said, if the price drops by about $50 or more, the Go becomes a very desirable handheld.

If you want to have access to ALL games available and be able to buy used/older games for cheap, the older PSPs are your only option. If you want maximum portability and a surprisingly better control layout, buy the Go.

I've had the 1000 since 2006 and I love it.

I had a PSP GO before selling it because of lack of a good library, and I felt like I wasted my money, so I sold it before the price would drop.

3000 is probably the best though because it's got the best screen and a built in Mic. SoIMO it would be...

Nope, the PSP Go does have Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi.

They are all great pieces of machinery! And yes, even the PSP Go! The PlayStation Portable just isn't getting the credit it deserves. So far I've been playing on my friends PSP but with MGS Peace Walker, I guess I'll have no option but to shell out the money for a PSP (and hope people follow my lead...).
