mine is 40 inches, and native 1080p, but i let the tv decide what resolution it should play in. It works and looks good to mesilversurfergold
I have same size of tv as you, and you should not let system decide, if your going to play 1080p native games just go to your HDMI settings and uncheck 720p so you allways play 1080p but if the game is 720 maximun go again to your HDMI settings and check it :lol: its better
My TV supports up to 1080i and I found that by using the progressive scan option everything looks a lot better. Some things will do better if you use 720p regardless of what the TV supports. Also the refresh rate of the TV can make a big difference as well.
The best output really depends on ur TV resolution and the supported resolution by the television. For one fact, ur TV will always output at ur TV's resolution, regarding the 720p or 1080p, it's the SIGNAL thats coming in.
If ur TV supports native 1080p, then obviously 1080p would be ideal. But if ur TV supports 720p, 720p would be ideal, Theres a case where 720p native TV support 1080p signal, for that i would suggest u keep it at 720p signal since 1080p signal on a 720p native would require downgrade.
