I tried the Sigma demo and I didn't much care for it. I had Rainbow Six: Vegas on the 360 and it's superb. Very good single player that is also playable online via co-op, and the other online modes are good too. I haven't played it for the PS3 but I'm sure it's excellent as well.

All in all I say Rainbow Six would be a better value for your money because it's not just single player, but multiplayer as well. You'll get to enjoy the game by yourself then take it online and replay the story over with your friends, and also play the standard online modes. The game has a ton of replay value because of all of this.

I have only played the demo for Ninja Gaiden, but I absolutely love Rainbow 6. Very good single player and a great multi-player that makes spending the $60 more justified; especially if you are financially constricted to only purchasing a game every so often. In such a case, I feel a game needs to give me months of replayability in order to justify the expenditure, and I am continually going back and playing Rainbow Six, even after purchasing it on release day for the 360.

Yeah I thought about the online CO-OP, and I guess it makes it very worth it, so I guess I should go with R6 for now and wait till I get some money for NGS, but I should do it before the new games start to fall from heaven (Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Assassins Creed, you've got my point)

Sigma is awesome. So is R6.

I guess if you have Resistance to satisfy your shooter needs, go for Sigma. Otherwise R6 is good. Play online and make sure you have a headset.

Man Im gonna need some money for the next 4-5 months, however I plan on getting a headset by buying Warhawk from a store so that solves it.

i got both... around the same time. i can't help, sorry, they're both games i want to have and wouldn't pick one over the other.

let's just do this. you want some lasting experience, r6v

you want something that's fun non-stop, with good replay value, but no online (which r6v has), then NGS is the way to go.

ohh, and both games can get annoyingly difficult.

GET RAINBOW SIX! Ninja Gaiden sigma while a great game is the same old Xbox 1 game with few new bells and whistles. Get RB6 you'll thank me for it later.

Sigma. Am I the only one sick of FPS's? The next FPS I am getting is gonna be Call of Duty 4 and not another until Killzone 2. I say no more than 2 shooters a year. And Sigma is really fun. Unlike a game like God of War, it feels rewarding to kill people in Sigma but God of War is still tight too.

Personally, I think Rainbow Six: Vegas is a horrible game. It feels like a watered down version of the previous games in the series. It's more about the action and less about the tactics and strategy. But if you're into that kind of stuff, then by all means, get R6:V. But if I were you, I'd go for Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

hehe I'd go for sigma dood. first of all, it depends on what you like more? both are great deals for the average gamer, and rv6 is a great deal for a fps kind of person while sigma is an awesome deal for someone into a story, gore, ninjas, and a very difficult challenge. imo, you can master rv6 a lot more easily then sigma, this is why sigma has my vote. it takes time, patience, and a lot of effort to be a ninja. besides, i never played any of the other ninja gaidens so the whole argument of how its a remake blah blah is out the window for me lol. it all depends on which one you're feening for tho.

Well I bought both. NGS is very good, but it gets repetitive, there isn't enough enemy diversity and the combo system isn't very impressive. R6V has amazing online. I have put over 100 hours into it on the PS3 version. I love it, and couldn't imagine my PS3 without it lol. IF you play online definitely pick it up. I recommend it over NGS any day. The single player for it is amazing as well.

I bought both. For what it is worth Vegas was fun for the first three hours or so and then I lost interest. I have to agree with others in the thread, I'm just burned out with FPS games at this point (which is a problem with all the hype FPS games scheduled :D)

Sigma 4thewinz. Very technical and fun fighter, definitely not a button masher

NGS is awesome! It is defenitely one of the best action/adventure games ever. I just got Rainbow 6 today and I like it. The single player is good, but the online is where the game shines. Hopefully I don't get burned out on it too soon. Betweeb the two I would choose NGS because it's amazing. The gameplay is awesome. It has good replay value.

Unreal Tournament 3 will be the best PS3 shooter imo, you should atleast rent it before buying COD4 or getting too excited for Killzone 2.

I've beaten ninja gaiden and black and just beat sigma and I'm so glad I rented it. I flew through the game pretty easy maybe because I had beaten it twice already never played on hard maybe I should I just remember the normal difficulty being very difficult. Very little was different about sigma, playing with rachel was aight not as tight as playing with ryu. The graphics were nice, but to tell the truth I couldn't tell a difference between the sigma and black without a side by comparison of the graphics while playing it.

If you've never played ninja gaiden before then by all means you need to play this game, but if you've already beaten this game on xbox then really it is a waste of 60 bucks maybe 30. I've got rainbow six and I think its tight especially the online play. I'm glad I bought rainbow six over sigma.

I would suggest NGS since it feels like a very unique game (Devil May Cry + Ninja action = NGS). RB6 does not seem like a great FPS to me. I'm used to playing COD, not tactical shooters- but online, "tactical" seems to mean "camp." Also the game is blurry when I play (I have a 4096 samsung 1080P and it runs all other Blu-Rays and games fine). I don't know if others experience this too but the bluriness annoys the crap out of me. It isnt horrendous but it is definetly noticable and makes it difficult to discern distant objects. Go NGS, RB6 is nothing we haven't seen before and I have not seen anything special about its online feature.(The blurriness is constant and I am not referring to the blur that occurs when you take damage).
