I love platformers like LBP2 or R&C. I also love FPS games but I can't play them because my parents hate those games. I am also currently looking for an awesome RPG openworld game where you can fully customize your character and explore a huge world (Sort of like WoW but with better graphics and on console; I thought FFXIV on PS3 would be the answer to my dreams but it looks like it sucks).
RPGs are the best. JRPGs more specifically. They have long single player stories to give you the most bang for your buck, they have memorable characters and they have battle systems that are really fun and original. I'm talking about games like Tales of Vesperia, Dark Cloud 2, White Knight Chronicles and Star Ocean 4.

Hammstray
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
JRPGs and fighting. It really is too bad that the ds and psp are the only ones that jrpg developers go to this generation. I was hoping the ps3 would be more like the ps2 in terms of game choices.
If it's fun then the genre doesn't really matter to me.
Though I do miss turn-based RPGs. Aside from the Persona series most JRPGs these days have the whole real time combat system thing.:?
I mainly play RPGs (can't stand Western ones though) and danmaku games. I also really like the exploration games like Metroid, but I have no idea what genre that would be under.
Action adventures like POP trilogy, AC was good but I started getting burned out and a new one already this year, come on. Other than that pretty much everything except JRPGs (really tried getting into them just can't). PS3 needs a real horror game like SH3, Dead Space was really good, but not SH3 good. On the topic of Dead Space, we need more sci-fi games. But yeah, pretty much whatever is fun and isn't over in 5 hours.
Platformers, Third Person Shooters, Action-Adventure. Racing games with weapons like Blur, Mario Kart and Twisted Metal.
[QUOTE="cheddar462"]i like strategy, shooters, n RPGssukraj
Whats your fav shooter.
i like a couple, mostly BFBC2, n CoD i like bad company for the online mostlyI like variety. I played a couple of racing games this year, which I enjoyed but now I'm burned out on racing. I like action/adventure the best, open world games are usually fun, sci-fi and horror are favorites but I've got a dungeon crawler pre-ordered for the end of the month.
