I saw this on PS3fanboy and I was wondering this myself. I personally would rather see Jak 4, since I haven't seen that series in a long time. How about you?
Since Jak hasn't been around for a while, and Uncharted came out not even a month ago, I expect most will say Jak....
....but not me, I want Uncharted 2!:D
I would love a new Uncharted, but I'll be honest in saying that I would like to see another Jak. It's weird because I didn't care for Ratchet on the PS2, but I loved the PS3 version. I didn't like Jak on the PS2, so maybe I would like Jak on the PS3.
I don't care much for either, but Uncharted was cool so it'd get my vote? I just loved the island look in the demo that I watched my cousin play last night.
but ND needs to fix the art direction of the Jak series. both Jak and Ratchet have gone from having that classic "fun for both young and old" platform art style to what i consider "a preteen going through rebellious puberty phase" kind of look.
I think ND needed to get a breath of fresh air with Uncharted. I think they will pull an Insomniac move by making another classic game in a different genre and then coming back to an earlier franchise and make it one of the best in the series. I suspect Sucker Punch will do the same with Sly Cooper. At least I hope. I love Sly Cooper! Maybe in Jak 4 every individual hair will be rendered on Daxter... Nah... but I do KNOW that the graphics will blow minds everywhere!
As Much as I love uncharted, the Jak Series is really one of my favorite series of all time, so i'm going to say jak 4. Either way, it's probably going to come out first as it's been in the pipeline for a couple of years.
I NEED a new Uncharted, every since beating it I've been pretty bored with games at large, and Iam so curious to see where Nathan is going to explore next time...
Wow, I thought an overwhelming amount of people would say Jak 4. I was a little off... :) By the way deon99, Plies needs work on his lyrics. He has a lot of potential but his lyrical game needs to stepped up a notch. Maybe if he gets some good beats along with that, he could be a great. :D
Not to be picky, but there were already five Jak and Daxter games out:
Jak and Daxter: the Precursor Legacy (PS2)
Jak 2 (PS2)
Jak 3 (PS2)
Jak X: Combat Racing (PS2)
Daxter (PSP)
... So this would be the sixth Jak and Daxter game. The title is rumored to be Jak and Daxter: the Lost Frontier, and I would love to see where they take that series before we see the sequel to Uncharted.
By the way, it was rumored that Naughty Dog already expressed their preference to make another Jak and Daxter game before doingthe sequel to Uncharted.
Well since J&Dare my favourite platformers on the PS2 I would have to say Jak 4 then Uncharted 2, like how Insomniac are flip-flopping between Resistance and R&C.

I have only ever played one J & D although I do not recall which it was, and wasnt that fond of it. So for that reason I went with Uncharted sequel, however I could be swayed on the issue if another Daxter were to surface.
i like uncharted but i really love the jak series. They will probably be like insomniac switching from ratchet to resistance and back again except with Jak and Uncharted.

You should try playing the games in order; that way, the story makes sense and you can familiarize yourself with the characters. The story is one of the major facets of the game, and playing them in order will really add to your experience with the series. They're all very cheap by now, and you'll have plenty of time to catch up before Naughty Dog releases the next Jak and Daxter game for the PS3.
Uncharted was good, but not that great. Graphics were awesome, but the gameplay got repetitive in the middle of the game. Uncharted's gameplay is almost the opposite of Jak's: one is linear and fixed, while the other 1 is an open-ended world and is varied. Jak 4, for sure!
Jak 4 definetly because of the open world gameplay if they brought the crimsom gaurds or something like that back it would alot better plus more dark and light jak powers

More light and dark powers would kill the game. IMO Jak 2 guns + Jak 3 powers would rock! Oh and massive killing in massive battles againts...whoever :P
I think we will see a new Jak sometime. I think the PRECURSOR trilogy has ended BUT a new trilogy MIGHT come up. Since Naughty Dog always pushes consoles to the limit, Jak 4 will look very very good. We will probably find out in a couple of months. For sure by E3 2008.
