Much is made of the oft hyped and upcoming juggernaut's that are Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Little Big Planet and to a lesser extent Killzone 2. All have huge hype surrounding them, and they are all exclusive to the PS3. However, lost in the crowd seems to be Level 5's latest title White Knight Chronicles.

White Knight Chronicles is an RPG that follows the story of Lenard, a boy that finds an ancient artifact that allows him to transform into a 7 meter tall White Knight. Though details of the story are still being closely guarded by Level 5, as reported by Famitsu the game will run at about 50 to 60 hours to complete. Whether that is just the main story or takes into account side quests remains to be seen.

Enough talk though. I think this game is going to deliver for RPG fans in a major way when it releases in late 2008.

OMG SAD? Looks like another Final Fantasy game but with a Huge Igor from Winnie the Poo walking with them! Sony needs to save themselves the embarrassment and let Nintendo have that 1 LOL

Thats kind of dissapointing in my opinion... I would really love to get a good turn-based RPG for the PS3, but everything now seems to be action RPG games and I have never played an action RPG that I really liked. Dark Cloud sucked balls, Rogue Galaxy wasnt anything spectacular and both those games were made by level 5 if I remember correctly. So I'm a little skeptical about this game now.

I've yet to play Rogue Galaxy, but I really liked Dark Cloud. I know what you mean though. I would love to have a good turn-based RPG. They did make DQ8!

Loved the dark cloud series. Hope this turns out even better :)

It looks nice, and its one game am looking forward to.... I hope this game will deliver a great experience and hopefully get released this year...

Oh yea, I have been tracking the game progress before the time it was still called White Knight Story.

I have very high hopes for the JRPG, it's Level 5 after all and I have every right to believe the game will be outstanding. It gives me a warm feeling and nostalgia of Escaflowne. 8)

A much welcomed change of pace from all the shooters out at the moment...hope it's as good as final fantasy!!

I never read anywhere about it being disappointing. The last previews I read were about the version shown at TGS. I heard it was cool, but they didn't have a lot of move palettes to choose from. It isn't really action or turned base. You push circle for all the moves but you can switch palettes with the D-pad. Ok so I see it as this:

I have one set a moves containing a straghtforward sword stab, 2 hit sword combo, and a fireball sword move. So when I push circle the first time, I will do the sword stab, then on the second one I will do the combo, then on the third I do the fireball sword.

I then have a second palette containing rising sword attack, 3 hit hair combo, then a downward dash sword attack.

I can first start in palette one and push circle and the the straightforward stab, then push the D pad, then push circle again to do a 3 hit combo, then hit D-pad, then do the fireball sword move.

You switch palettes to mix up the moves to do different sets of combos. It seems intersting because it involves the thinking needed by turn based and the quickness of action style rpgs.

I find it funny that if you type "Exclusive" it gets more hits. :(Symphonycometh

LMFAO well yeah because then you get to see what we can brag about :lol: and see if it uses the power of the PS3 well.
