Occasionally, when I'm playing my PS3, my T.V. will make a popping noise and the screen flashes snowy. I turn off the system and back on again then it's fine. It does this every time right before the game starts(I think adjusting the output signal or something) but I don't know why it does it while I'm playing sometimes. Is it a PS3, HDMI, or T.V. problem? Or nothing to worry about?

I can't really describe exactly what it does.... It's not the whole screen just like random sqare patches.. I know that doesn't make much since but I can't describe it any better....

Random square patches == digital "tearing"...combined with popping in your speakers -- that sounds like a power issue to me -- if not in the immediate cable throughput (i.e., a different HDMI cable is no better), do you have anything that would bear on this in terms of the power supply to the TV and PS3? Or other appliances on the same circuit?

I sort of have the same issue. Only right before I start a game it always goes blue and says searching for signal then comes on. But it never does it in the middle of playing, I think my problem is just the tv, but yours seems to be something else.
