I know this may sound like a dumb question seeing how the only real difference is the color but I seem to like the white better mainly because im bored of the old psp look. Thing is the white version is at least $30 more and I was thinking that it could get dirty faster. What is your overall opinion on the better choice of psp?
i have the black psp, becuase i live in the US, but the black one easily attracks smudges becuase of the glossy finishing. the white one does too, but the dust and fingerprint smudges dont appear as well on it.
Bascially all of the things said before are true for the most part.
White PSP: Fingerprints will not show up as well on it because of the colour (of course, technically they are still there). Problem is though that dirt and other messy stuff WILL show up very well due to the White colour. You have to clean it often.
Black PSP: Fingerprints show up like crazy (I have a black one) and you have to wipe them out constantly, although actual dirt does not show very well so other than the fingerprints and some sratches fromthe case I was using with it:? it looks like it is in very good condition.
When i bought my white psp i bought a hard covered case for 20 dollars. I only see fingerprints on the screen itself so that kinda sux, i might buy a screen protector... Also a few weeks ago i brought my white psp to a party outside and i accidently dropped it in dirt, the whole front part O_O. Its not nearly as hard to clean as you gusy seem to make it sound. All i did was dampen a tissue and i cleaned all of the dirt off. Only a bit of the first went in between the buttons but like dots of it, and it doens't effect anything. Also the only thing that took more than 2 minutes to clean was the analog stick, cuz it was hard to clean in between the rough top, but I still managed to take out all of the dirt on it.
Point is! the white psp is easy to clean. Buy it if you can get one. I got mine in Canada =) My psp is also great cuz its regional things work nicely, its a japanese psp but US movies UMD and US games UMD works on it =)
get the white one because it has a better d-pad for fighting games compared to the black which has been problematic(for some) because of the diagonals.
I rofl at the people who says white gets dirtier faster. It doesn't. Beleive it or not the smudges finger prints ect show up worse on the black. I've had a white one for 6 months now and it's clean. I just keep it in the material case that comes with it too. Because of the glossy finish all dirt ect just wipes off it, so it's really easy to keep clean and finger prints don't show up. The white one has raised a raised D-Pad too which makes beat-em-ups all that much easier.
