Who else is taking their time with MGS4?

Its a great game, but I try and limit myself to an hr and a half every day max. I dont wanna beat the game in like 2 sittings like a lot of ppl, I dont wanna rush through it. Im not the type to 'replay' games a lot, so i wanna get my moneys worth.

Anybody else like me, or everybody blowing/or blown through the game already?

Eh my total time is 16 hrs. first play through (and i watched all the cut scenes, but i kinda got lost in the story)... and i only got 2 medals the first play through...

im gonna play through it again, and try to get more medals and actually follow the story more closely

I tried to take my time but the game is so engaging i just couldn't stop untill i got to like a boss i couldn't beat. Some of them really want you to think about them.

I don't own MGS4 just yet, but I usually take my time with all my games.Neo1O1

I got to the part where I have to fight Laughing Octopus which was a few days ago and haven't touched the game since. I'm currently downloading the patch for MGO then get back to fighting Laughing Octopus.LuckyLy

If you use the 'glow in the darl' infered snake eye,, laughing octopus isnt so tough

like just now i played for about an hr and a half,, just finished Act 2,, id love to play more but I wanna savour it a lil more.

I own GTA4, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank: TOD and Lego Star Wars,,, and i havent completed any of them,,, none of them have had me so engaged in the story like MGS4,, and I didnt even play the first 3 games.

(Uncharted was great,,, i just got GTA4 a week later so thats why I havent beaten it)

For me, playing it all at once is the better experience.

Some of the drama and impact gets lost if you play it so infrequently.

I took a two day MGS4 marathon, and the experience (for me) is richer that way.

Just a heads up: You will play it more than once. You will. You can't get everythig in one run.

I'm taking my time.. but not by choice.. my copy stopped working this last monday and i can't get another till tomorrow :cry:americahellyeah

I'll try to take my time. It's just when you start playing, you get hooked.

Yea around 10pm to 5am. May have even been 9pm? About 7 or 8 hours. Which is not hard on this game. Like you said, you start to get into it. And you get lost. And that was the second act! Which I found a way to really stretch out somehow. I had to look down every darn trail "If you know where im talking about." Even if it was not where she went.

Weird indeed... i had just started Act 5 too! at first i thought it might be my PS3 that broke.. although all my other games and my friends copy of MGS4 worked fine.. so it must've been the disc.

Oh yeah the robot.... I've just started chapter 3 and not used it at all yet :)D1rty_Dawg

mgs4 is like caviar

i did talk my tym first playthough racking up 18-19 hours total. i just finished the 2nd goaround to get the "" item and blazed through it in 4 hr 38 mins. thats not watching all the cutsinces and not killing anyone. was kinda boring cuz i restricted myself to using the tranquilizer .22 and the mosin. the first playthrough was the best though.

best chapter: act five.

I bought my MGS 4 on release and still havent even played it yet!. im gonna play it when i get my new HDTV so i can enjoy it abit more, but for now Tekken 5 DR will satisfy me till then.
