I suspect the email was just to inform you that your PSN ID has been chosen... i doubt forwarding a congratulatory e-mail will get you a place.
And risk their position in the BETA? I believe each email is specifically sent to individal users so only that person themself can register. That and you have to be signed in to your Playstation account to confirm your registry.
