Just a question, are the cars supposed to slide so abruptly and loosely like it did in the demo?

That's one of the reasons I was so turned off by that game... The physics don't look right at all... :(

I had a copy of Revo on pre-order and I went to pick it up on the 27th when it was meant to be released here in Australia. My EB had no copies, I went to a few other stores and they had no copies either. Turns out the game was delayed until some time in October. Instead of waiting I cancelled my pre-order and picked up Colin McRae's Dirt. I'm glad I did. Dirt is a fantastic single player racing game (multiplayer online is a joke though). I may still go ahead and pick up Revo for the online when it finally turns up.

um the controls are supposed to be like that- its an arcade game, not a simulation.....the devs specified that

i like segas games (mostly)

but i think sega rally is a horrible investment of $80 or more- i tried the demo and its way too floaty

it doesnt look THAT good either to me

I picked up a copy of Sega Rally today(There is no Revo in the title on the box). I'll report back in around 3 hours when I get home from work.

the game felt worse than ass. no car damage and cheesy physics made it feel like it was directed at 5 yr olds. i'm definitely not buying it.

Here's a picture of the box art.  I'll now go and fire up the game and report back.  If you've got any Qs I'll try answering them for you.

Yes there is six axis motion control (Control Config #3).  The game also supports the same Logitech force feedback wheels as Dirt.

As you can see from my picture above I own both Dirt and Sega Rally.  I've got to say both are great, and thankfully in different ways.

Sega Rally obviously has the better multiplayer with split screen, and online support for 6 player matches.  Not that anyone is online at the moment.  :-/  Sega Rally also drives better IMHO.  The cars feel a lot more natural.  They actually feel a lot better than the demo too.

Dirt has the better single player with the massive career mode.  Sega Rally is definitely showing its arcade roots here.

After playing both I have to say even if you own Dirt you should seriously consider buying Sega Rally, it's a great game.

edit(s):
Graphics is a hard 1 to pick, both look absolutely great in different ways.  Dirt has that great semi-photo realistic look, while Sega Rally has a great cartoony arcade look to it.  If I had to pick 1 I guess I'd say Dirt because of the insane damage modelling.  Sega Rally has good weather effect though, and the tracks deforming on them while you race is great.

Well after playing Sega Rally for a while now I'm going to call it and say both games are as good as each other.  If I had to pick 1 though my choice would be Sega Rally for no other reason than the online would never get old.

Sega Rally IS an arcade game.  Anyone who is considering the game knows this.  Also like I said above there are reasons to buy both games.
