I've never played my PS3 on an HDTV hence why I play on a monitor, so I can't make that comparison. What I can tell you is the quality on my monitor is alot better than standard definition. All I have is a 17" LCD screen and a Kworld Tv Box 1440.
It works great but the quality sucks when you get up close. That has to do with my tv box, but it looks like HD quality from 4-5 feet away. I never sit close anyway. I get cable on my LCD monitor as well.
If you don't have the money for a nice, big, clear tv, go for the monitor for sure. With component cables the highest resolution I could go up to was 720p. It looks nice and is more then worth the $80 CND I spent.
i play it on my monitor as i dont have an hdtv and the qualitys superb, although it goes all green when i try to play dvds or ps1 games on it. anyone else having this problem/know how to fix it?
