Who is excited for MAG??

I didn't even hear about this game until yesterday when gamespot put up the interview of the developers. I think it sounds amazing and really hope it lives up to what I am now expecting.

What do you guys/ girls think of the idea? Will you get it if the reviews are good?

I am. One thing i dont like about this game so far is the FPS. I understand why they are doing it i read it in GI but still I love socom for that 3rd person shooter and wish zipper would stick to that Genre or at least have an option for it. I think we should start a Petition.

I agree with this. I'll wait for more info about this game and hopefully get really excited, but so far imo MAG just looks like another first person shooter war game.

I really like the 3 faction war Idea, so yes I'm excited!!! The devs look and sound ligit with what they are trying to do, I'm not looking for to much innovation(it's a FPS there's not much they can do)lol...but I'm looking forward to high quality gameplay and graphics.

Meh, not really. I hope it does well and all but I vowed after Killzone 2, no more FPS for me.

Even though I traded in Socom, I thought that it was an enjoyable game...even more enjoyable then KZ2's multiplayer(FLAME SHIELDS ON)lol

To be honest, no I'm not excited.

The PS3 is gonna be loaded for this year Infamous, Uncharted 2 and now MAG with 256 players going at it all at once online.

what if a 100 of them are snipers/campers... depending how this whole thing will function, i see the game being frustrating for reasons that would normally plauge other FPS games a lot less... i base this on nothing but my opinion :P

MAG is a very cool idea. From the footage I've seen I think it looks like a very fun and intense game... but I'm going to wait a few weeks after its release because since this is a first at such a high amount of players at once... there's bound to be some issues in the first little period.

That's why there are these open beta now, so a lot of issues are fixed before the game is released. Really excited about the new server technology out on the market, hopefully that use it to run this game. And more like it.

it might be the first first person shooter game i get for the ps3, or at least the first shooter i am going to buy since call of duty 4(pc).

althoughthis game is on the bottom of my list.

Mainly because my internet connection is as reliable as an xbox360, so i prefer to get offline games.

also i realise that shooters usually stress me out when i get really into them, where as other games don't, its not overwhelming but then i think whats the point of playing, its not really fun, its just sort of an angry bloodbath to me that satisfies that part of us that wants us to kill random people everyday...

I'm just hoping a game like this will inspire gamers to get a headset. Because if you can't talk to everyone it'll be hard to coordinate attacks outside of an objective list. You can talk to all your squad mates, but your squad leader can only communicated outside the squad to another squad leader.

^ that was exactly what i was thinking. i played Battlefield 2 for like 3 years.
