It didn't flop....GS was the one that gave it a bad score.rogerjak
It was an awesome game but the sales weren't that good.
when i say flop i mean flop on gamespot all gamespots scores seem to be different from other websites in a bad way ps3wizard45
One site's review does not make a "flop"- look at the overall ratings. Out of 72 reviews given in magazines, web sites, etc. the overall average is 88%- hardly a "flop". The sales for the game was 75,000 in the first month of release- not as big as some titles did on the PS3 but from the articles I have read Sony was more than happy with it. The only flopping done here is by the OP.

.62 mil sold right now, and if thread is any indication, R&C's been sold pretty well with no sign of slowing down like this game.
Depends on how much you trust vgchartz, but R&C should have long legs from word of mouth and being probably the best kid-friendly game on PS3 right now.
i got it and played for hours straight on my second day. its amazingly addicting.
but why hasn't anyone mentioned the many glitches in it? floating boxes anyone?
It's a really good AAA game in my opinion and I stopped paying attention to gs reviews half-way through the year.jyoung312
Yea i take their reviews as a grain of salt. It's not really worth reading the ones from this site.
Mario has floating boxes. Is that a glitch too?i got it and played for hours straight on my second day. its amazingly addicting.

cmon man, you know what im talking about. for example they are in a stack and i break the bottom layer only the top layer remains floating.
also when you kill some enemies they'll stick to the roof, or stay suspended in the air.

Out of curiosity was these glitches mentioned in the review?:Pi dont remember hearing of them. but they dont happen too much to cause frustration
the only glitch i remember is when i got a gold bolt while wearing the pirate suit and it never went into my inventory. then i went back as normal and walked into the space where it was and the animation plays but theres no bolt on the screen and it still doesnt go into my inventory

Nothing is wrong with it- it's just a habit of mine to bold it when posting.
it wasa total suprise ps3wizard45
I know you didn't post too much here, but already you've been on Gamespot too long if you didn't check every other review in every other site known to every single gamer.
Note: I have no intentions on buying the game or even renting it.

You got to love the fanboyism. The "other game" has sold 10 times as many copies, but has slowed down over all (what did you expect with those numbers). In number of units it is still selling way more.
Look I love the PS3, but you can't compare those two games....not when it comes to number of units sold

Again, people are calling each other "fanboys".
Just as annoying as fanboys I say. There's no foundation that could lead to "fanboyism" as you state.
Basically implying that R&C is doing better than Gears isn't being a fanboy?????
If we complain about the 360 people misrepresenting stuff maybe we should do a better job as ps3 owners...

"We" means "them".
I never compare. Only game and pay attention to "Sides."

Reviews, regardless of the amount, don't make anything a flop. Critics bash the top weekend movies all the time. Who cares what critics have to say about anything. Name an entertainment industry (music, movies or games) where reviews and success match up with any significance.
Reviews only matter to people who can't make up their own mind.
