I've tryed to play Oblivion on my PC and I just can't get into it.  I'll admit that my rig is a few years old I can't run it at the smoothest rate but it will still play (Athlon 2500+, 1gig memory, Radeon 9800XT Video Card).  But even so, I just can't get as pulled in with the games if I play them on the computer, but it's a completely different experience when I play them on the a gaming console.  That's why I'm waiting for the PS3 release.  Anybody else feel this way?

Which is why I have my PC hooked up to the HDTV ;)

If a game comes out on both consoles and PC, I generally purchase the PC version.

I like to PC more than console it has a wider variety and you can play with thousands of other people. Yet consoles are the only thing that seem to entertain me right now...

Grew up on consoles so a controller just feels way better to me than a keyboard and a mouse.

Console games usualy run smoother in my experience because they are developed for one specific type of hardware, instead of million of custom computers. My 2 cents

I've been playing games on consoles and handhelds since I was two, and I got my first computer in like 7th grade lol.  I love FPS on the comp, but I grew up favoring consoles and I'm sure it'll stay that way.

Depends what your used to I guess i.e I have Halo on Xbox & PC and I think the Xbox version is funner to play, cuz I played the game heaps on Xbox before I got the PC version. I plan on getting Unreal Tounament 3 for PC for the same reason, I played it on PC first. But overall I would have to say console is better, more relaxing and in general better games.

It's a yes and no answer for me.

I love my PC because I can afford to keep it updated and have a steady stream of games. Lan Parties are really fun even if you aren't a big gamer. Online is pretty reliable and some games can take mods.

On the other hand, a console provides you the comfort of having games for a few years without having to worry about updating ( minus HD, and peripherals). It's also easier to move around. You also get to experience a different set of Developers. By that I mean, you have games outside the usual FPS, Strategy, etc. One of my favourite all time games happens to be Harvest Moon (all versions). I love my PS3 and just waiting for summer/winter wave of games to come.

It's apples and oranges really. The PC has had numerous advantages over consoles for a while now, online play is something that consoles are just now starting to pick up on. Also, I personally feel that certain games, such as first person shooters fair better on the PC. However, consoles are typically cheaper, and though while the PC isn't as complex as it once was, people still seem less frightened by console games then they do PC games.

I prefer console because, PS always needs an upgrade with the new games, CPU, Ram, Grafics Card,etc... Why should I buy a 400 - 600 $ Grafic card when I can purchase a PS3 at the same price?

I haven't upgraded my PC and years and still manage most of the newer titles. Plus, porn, which is easily worth the amount you just gave.

First Person Shooters are way better on pc, its much easier to turn a mouse and point and shoot then it is trying to line up a crosshair with an analog controller. But, if you don't have that top of the line pc, your First Person Shooter isnt going to look as good as it could. In the end a console is just cheaper, and runs smoother.

i just dnt have the time to install a game and them muck around with it trying to get the graphics right, so much easier if you just put in a disc and play.

plus you cant play your computer in bed or on the coach

I`ve gone through C64, Amiga, PC and I`m now strictly into consoles. There is a much wider variety of games for consoles while the PC only gets FPS, RTS and MMORPG these days :P That`s why I switched and it was a good move. The only games I play on my PC are Vampire: Redemption and Bloodlines (can`t get enough of those). And Fallout! The best RPG of all time IMO.

To play the last PC title you need the last hardware, this is the great problem with PCs. New game = New PC

I don't really have the desire to spend 2-3 grand on a decent gaming rig.  Consoles have always brought me games at a cheaper price.  They can usually get the games to look pretty close to the PC counter-part in some cases.  I'm sure we'll see it alot more this generation.  I would just rather play with a controller, something I'm alot more comfortable with.  It's also cheaper for me to buy a console and an HDTV than to buy a gaming rig to handle Crysis.  Which is probably the only PC game that has interested me since Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

Consoles all the way. A friend of mine spent more as 1400 euros on a pc and he has an great PC, but he can't even match ps3 quality gamesbut did spent a lot more money. In 2 years tuime you need to spent another 1400 games so run them smoothly while the console is cheap and has an better average quality compared to pc games (only due to the fact that most of the people can't handle new games)

I prefer console to PC in every genre except RTS. I even prefer FPS on console because I love the splitscreen and the more community based feel of consoles.

i prefer console gaming because the games I like are almost all for consoles only. Besides that I hate sitting on my computer desk all day long. Another thing is that playing console games has a better flair to it then playing pc games, but that's just my opinion.
