I just bought a 40 gb PS3, Uncharted, MLB 2k7, and Fight Night Round 3 with component cables for about 500 bucks. Then this new sku with the new controller AND MGS4, the main game I bought my PS3 for. Im pissed now. Is anyone in this same position?
It does suck, but what can you do? It would have happened to some people regardless of when they made the announcement. Better luck next time, hopefully.

kind of a dumb question....but, from the pictures i've seen so far, it shows a picture of snake on the actual console.....is it just a reflection? or is he actually imprinted on the ps3?

Exactly. I waited to see the announcement, and now I'm going to go out and buy a 40gb or 80gb PS3 very soon. I could care less about this new bundle since it doesn't give you a smaller cell chip or 120gb as rumors suggested. You can get a DS3 from Japan right now. I don't really need to wait for that.
I bought mine a while ago, but MGS4 is one of the main reasons for me getting a PS3. I wouldn't say i am pissed cuz I have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy my PS3 for the months before this is even available. However, if I hadn't bought one before this point that would definitely be the one I get.

The announcement doesn't mention anything about the cell chip. Where are you getting your info?
Even if you just bought one, it won't cost you an insane amount to pick up MGS4 and a DS3 if desired. Enjoy the fact that you can enjoy your PS3 for 4 months instead of waiting lol.
