Pretty simple question, post if your excited for Outlast because I sure as heck am!! :)

I've been interested in this game for a while and they said a few months ago it would be on Plus. Glad to see we're close to getting it, consoles have been without good horror games (at least it seems good) for a while, so maybe this can help change that.
Sure I'm excited for it, although the feeling could simply be related to sheer lack of games on the PS4...

A good game is a good game, what does it matter who develops it? It's the same thing with films and music also, it's just someone with talent and creativity who isn't a big name....and sometimes that's a good thing because most of the time they are coming with fresh ideas.
I've checked out most of the videos, reviews and talk in general about Outlast and most, if not all I heard have been positive. Now of course I'm not just basing my excitement off the opinion of others, but those opinions seem to back up my own research.
Im gonna play it at a friends house, with great sound and another friend will play it. For the first time.
Cant wait! hahaha
I think it looks pretty good but I'm also playing through Metro Last Light (free through PS Plus) which has quite a few horror elements as well so it all might be too much horror in a short space of time.
Then again I don't have too much else to play on my PS4 so I'll probably end up playing it pretty much when it comes out.
Just played about an hour or so on ps4 tonight. Really impressed. Played it with the lights off. Had 2 or 3 moments that caught me off guard. Really spooky game.
Nope. But I am glad to see it on Plus. Right now I have Resogun, Don't Starve, and Outlast to play already for when I do get a PS4. I almost bought Outlast on PC but decided to wait when I heard it would be added to the IGC.
After playing more and more of this game, what can I say. Outlast is awesome. I love how they don't give you weapons. It forces you to think about your next move and you feel helpless at times.
I want to see more games like this in the future.
It's not my genre but since it's free for PS Plus, I downloaded and tried it for 30 minutes. Deleted 'cause It's too scary. I want a different free game not this. PS3 has better free game this month
No map.
No fighting back.
No thanks.
I feel like this is a realistic survival horror game. It's like they put one of us in the game not some superhero. If I was in the same situation as the protagonist I doubt I would be running after the monsters trying to kill them like they do in the movies while holding a map of the building.

I feel like it's just the opposite. That dildo with the nail club is so slow that I'd easily be able to wrestle it free from him and bash his brains in. I don't like the feeling of being a helpless lamb that can't even fight back in any situation.
I went ahead and claimed this on the Playstation Store for when I get a PS4. It'll be interesting to see how I handle playing this game. I'm not great with horror typed situations. I always hate dark levels like tunnels and such in games.
Well your camera that you carry comes with night vision. This helped in the dark levels. But make sure you look for batteries because it doesn't last long.

I hear more positives about it the negatives, so it's safe to say it will becomes a franchise.

I feel bad for you. Guacamelee, Bastion and Dust are some of the best games i've played.

I do too. Indie games can deliver at times because they go out of their own way to get creative no matter how odd or different the project may or can be. I appreciate Sony for getting indie developers (mainly from PC) to get over to the PS4 so we can experience titles like Don't Starve and Outlast.
Anywho, Outlast is so creepy to the point where I can't stop playing it. Instead of me being a wuss and running away from it instead I have to keep on going. I actually like the concept a lot of having no weapons to defend yourself but just a camera. It forces you to approach it in a different way. And I also notice that the A.I system actually takes advantage of you no matter how you think or approach certain situations. At times you will have to be forceful and take risks no matter what is going on around your surroundings. It's a great game I tell ya.
