I have to admit this, I wasn't too fond of the PS3 before I saw Home. Once I saw Home, I got interested. It's combining elements of Second Life along with the greatness of Xbox 360's Achievements, but taking what the 360 has and making it more interesting.
About this time next year, I will be purchasing a PS3 mainly just to play Home, but also for games like Resitance: Fall of Man and of course Killzone and Metal Gear Solid 4.
You don't have my option. Now I'm certain that I'm getting a PS3, although I'm not exactly stoked about it. Sony just showed me that they care about what the gamers really want.
I'm more sold on the fact finding people who play the same games as I do, and forming some kind of a small community. Add people on friends list and intergrating them into the games. Other than that, it's not really important to me. Honestly, I would've just been happy with text and graphics like a chat room/ messenger type of thing like X Fire, but whatever lol My only concern is that I hope my PS3 won't be hijacked by any females in my family (or gf) cause of Home. Women seem to dig that kind of stuff I find...

Looks pointless. Almost made me want one less. I want to play games, not run around in a virtual universe of other people showing them my trophies and fake apartment. I wish they would focus more on online adoption across all games and unify friends list issues before focusing on useless garbage like home.

The thing is for the most part e1 will support the ps3 in this thread because it is for the ps3, if u wanted accurate results, u should put it in system wars. I voted i already have it. Although, i bet in console roles the option, no would be picked way more.

Funny...they are improving multiplayer gaming aspects with HOME..I can see how you would confuse a multiplayer universe where gamers can interact and play games with an integrated friends list and trophies as not being multiplayer gaming online.

I think home looks pretty cool. Honestly though, it looks a little bit too ambitious to pull of without any hitches. Hey, but if sony does do such an amazing feat, PS3 will solidify its position as my favorite console.

no. i thought "Little big Planet" was great, but "home" does not have my interest. It looks outdated allready. It looks silly and will take too much time imo. they'll have to show exciting gameplay
yeah it have, at first I wanted to get the 360 before the ps3, but then I saw home and now I want ps3 before the 360, hopefully I'll have my ps3 sometime in mmay or june ^^
I just don't see how Home could get people excited about buying a PS3. It is just a Second Life game with advertisements. I'm fine that they are doing it and will definitely try it. I just don't see how it can get people all that excited. Now LittleBigPlanet was awesome. That gets me excited about the PS3. There should be threads about that, not Home.

i already got my ps3 and home looks interesting but I would not say I'm sold on it until it actually comes out, and if anyone is thinking of now getting a ps3 for home I would wait until after home comes out to make sure sony matches the hype that is surrounding it.

Already was planning on buying one about two weeks to a month prior to the news, although after hearing about Home and seeing LittleBigPlanet the deal was sealed. Just gotta wait for sufficient funds and I'm making a trip up to the store :)
