I don't care what other people have to say about it; I'm still getting it. The CE on day one, in fact.
I will admit, though, that I prefer the older Resident Evil games (mansions, zombies, etc.) but RE4 was awesome, and based on the RE5 demo, I think RE5 will be, too.
You can't move and shoot seems to be a popular one, I don't see why people were surprised considering you couldn't do that in any other Resident Evil game. I'll rent it mainly because I know if I buy it I'll get bored eventually and trade it in.Negative things? like what?

Those 'negative' people don't know what they're talking about. If you think the conrollers are hard, then......:P
The control configuration is very very easy. Nothing complicated about it. Don't see what the big fuss is. Sorry I just don't.
yea same here, i also do prefer the mansion/zombie thing, oh well hopefully that capcom will redo the whole RE series like they mentioned and bring back the mansion or even a remake for the ps3 would be awesome. imagine RE1 to 3 remake on ps3? id get them in a heart beat.I don't care what other people have to say about it; I'm still getting it. I'm picking it up day 1 and playing coop with my bro until we beat it.Negative things? like what?

Exactly. Most likely they are FPS fans who were looking for something to tide them over til' the next big hit in FPS gaming. Running while shooting is overrated :P.Those 'negative' people don't know what they're talking about. If you think the conrollers are hard, then......:P

I don't care that a bunch of people whine because they can't move, it's not a 3rd person shooter game, I'm getting it day one

I agree with everything.
I'm getting it. People are only complaining about the controls, but aside from that there really isn't that much more fuss about. I like adapting to controls, you get to conform to a style, if you're going to play someone else's game then you should respect what they did, not b**** about it.

Not saying i have a problem with the controls, but from an objective viewpoint if a dev has to make the controls less realistic to create tension while games such as Dead Space can create an atmosphere far scarier without having to, then it is just bad game design.same complaints as always...but hearing that its 8 hours long might be a bummer....weren't other resident evil's longer?
it seems with everything that re series has done, its only obvious that you can't live with the same control scheme everytime. it practically looks like a 3rd person shooter already...y not make it like that? despite all that, i'm still b buying it, but i'm hoping that it ditches these clunky controls though....

Yeah but it doesn't seem like capcom is even trying to make the games scary anymore, just tense.
Well considering the demo allowed me to right hook and uppercut people I'm pretty damn sold on the game.:P
Even more so if I find out whether or not it hasthe damn awesome RE4 merchant or a Drebin type merchant person.:|
i will. i heard sissy complaints about it but i'll still buy it. do u think it will be better than re4?, i hope so! videogamer_psIt's sort of exactley like RE4 except alittle shorter, different characters, different scenario and missions but in terms of better, probably the graphics.
One of the most anticipated PS3 games this year. I have said it a million times and I'll say it a million more times. I have been following EVERYTHING on this game since it was announced. I am most definetely getting it the day it comes out!
I cannot understand why there are so many negative comments. Don't forget: we played a DEMO not aFINAL product. As for the controls um, what's wrong with them?! it took a quick second to get used to them because I haven't played a Resident Evil game in a bit but, they're easy to figure out plus, in the final game won't there be an option to modify the controls to your liking? I believe there is!
Guys, I just made a post in the main PS3 forum and I'm serious, don't believe the thoughts about the Demo.
I got my hands on RE5 today and I've played a few hours with my friend. It's really a great game and even without a friend you can still have a lot of fun.
I thoroughly enjoy the game.
and hell yeah, I'm damn lucky to get it 9 days before release hahahahaha.
ppl starting to get the game... = time for me to avoid thread with RE title... and once is closer no forum at all for me, someone spoile the bird women and I`ll die after killing that person :PGuys, I just made a post in the main PS3 forum and I'm serious, don't believe the thoughts about the Demo.

What negative things? controls similar to RE4 which was an AWESOME game? Not being able to move while shooting which is a feature found in all RE games and yet they were all awesome. Those aren't negatives those are statements coming from people who just can't give the game more time to get used to. Why do everything have to be easy? Just learn how to control something and get used to it. The controls in RE5 aren't hard at all to begin with. Those who played RE4 and loved have nothing on RE5 since it's almost the same game in terms of gameplay. Seriously, give this game a chance because you will love it. And yes, I am getting it, the CE.

^^^ Agreed. I loved RE4, played it to death. I really hope they'll bring it back to it's roots away from the over-the-shoulder cam and back with zombies, but that's just me
