The Arcade Shinobi?! I'm sold. I remember spending a ton quarters on that game at the local Boys & Girls Club when I was 8. Ahhhh memories...
Also, a warning to anyone getting the collection for the Phantasy Star games that has not played them before - time has not been kind to them. The method of unlocking the original Phantasy Star is moronic as well. You need to complete the first zone in Sonc 2 with two players. That's right, in order to unlock a singleplayer RPG you need to own two controllers and play multiplayer. WTF.DJ_LaeI'm sure there will be a cheat of some sort... or at the very least you could just download a gamesave from someone who already had unlocked it..

I'll probably do that as I don't own two controllers.
Does anyone know if the games recieved at least a bit of an overhaul or widescreen support?americahellyeah

I own 4 controllers.. but 3 of them are broken :P so i'll likely do the same unless it has trophies which don't work with other peoples game saves.. i could always have a friend bring one over though i guess.

I'm referring more to the gameplay, which has more in common with the original Final Fantasy than anything else. They're about as archaic as RPGs get and are exceptionally slow-paced. Phantasy Star IV is the only one that's playable to newcomers - at least, it's the only one I could play more than ten minutes of.[QUOTE="americahellyeah"][QUOTE="Choco_Taco"]OMG! thanks! so psyched aboot this now! can't wait for it... I grew up on old school RPGSs so it doesn't bother me, but I can see how newcomers might get turned off.

But that's when the RPGs were fun since they were actually RPGs, not button mashers like most RPGs since the PS2.Please Log In to post.
