Umm because have you seen the current gameso n the ps3? There isnt much. So this looks amazing. I dont expect it to be socom but it should hold me over till socom is out.

Some of the people who were in the beta seemed pretty impressed by what they saw. Also, it incorporates some pretty cool ideas and multiplayer is huge now so a game built with that in mind has a lot of people drooling. Also, as the above poster pointed out, it's rather slim pickens these days, so a new game is welcome.:D

it is actually a fantasy game tieing into world war 2 style aircraft, read about the warhawk and the nemesis on warhhawk offical site, they based both fighters off of fighter planes in WW2
It is coming out at the right time to set up as a contender for Halo 3, but I don't think it will win. I AM however looking forward to the game as I have a good trust that it will provide solid online multiplayer. I see it as another flavor to enjoy in the next coming months of a probably saturated multiplayer environment. The only thing about warhawk is that I fear its multiplayer perks are things that UT2k4 already achieved, so when UT3 is released will people still care about warhawk?
Because it looks like a killer app for the PS3. I believe that Warhawk will be a huge game for the PS3 and be one of the best online games yet so far this generation. I cannot wait for it's release.
