Well when your downloading, do you have other stuff going throught the router at the same time? Because thats what happened to me when minewas slow, but then I made it so that when ever I downloaded stuff nothing else is using the router, then my downloads finished 10x faster.

try to make sure that the DMZ feature is enabled in your router , most linksys modems have it, and forwarded to your ps3 IP. I've heard that if your connection type is 2, everythingis goning fine.

If nothing worked with you, maybeyour router is too far from your ps3.

good luck

ignore sm66612 and mountain_duwe is somewhat right Ps3 downlods are slow but it depends on your location. Some people can have one of the fastest connection and still download slow because of where they live. Something is wrong with the psn store or something.

Took about 15 minutes here...

TC try moving your router closer to your PS3.  If that helps it is a range issue like the guys above have mentioned, and the quickest solution would to be to buy a wireless access point to extend the range of your wireless network.

Also check your network settings to make sure your PS3 isn't running NAT 3.

Wow it took me about 10 mins. For some reason my downloads go fast and then every once in a while they go slow. But mostly fast.

GET A BETTER ROUTER

(i bet your PS3 is getting a low signal also)

and since you say wirelessly I'm guessing you've tried it wired. It's not the PS3.

Well what I meant was that I wasn't going on the internet that is connected to my router while I'm downloading I didn't really mean that my router wasn't connected to anything, lol. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Just use a WIRED connection if you can. Much easier (if you have a cable nearby), and settings are simple, and no need to worry about interferences or slow connections with the router, as long as you have a fast connection. It's what I have hahaa :)

i have the same problem but tis only been like this since the 1.9 update.... I have a nat 2 and enabled dmz in my linksys router settings and everything was going all good until i updated. it took me about 8 hours to download the heavenly sword demo and now im trying to download mlb 2k7 and the wifi light is constantly blinking but i get about 1 mb every 45 min and i have no clue why. I get perfect downlaod speeds on my pc between 100-500 kbs and this is annoying me anyone have any advice?

Same here, I much prefer the wired connection over the wireless. But I'm still glad the PS3 has wireless cuz it's nice for when I take my PS3 to my friends house cuz his router isn't near the TV :P

To the TC, i too think it might just be the wireless spead of your router. I had a router awhile back that was supposed to go up to 54mb/s but nothing (laptops, etc) would connect faster than 11/mbs... you can guess we got rid of that one, lol. My new linksys is much faster wirelessly.

^im not saying my downloads go slow, im saying it might be a range issue, its a fact the ps3 wifi range is rather short, i have a good signal with my laptop which is about 3 floors down, my ps3 has to be practicly on the same floor as the router.

My PS3 is like 100-200 feet away from my PS3 and my Downloads are lighting fast. Oh yeah, I get a signal of 50%
