i dont think that internal wifi is gonna be taken out, the wii has it and its only 250 bucks

For what it is, the PS3 is very cheap in my opinion..
I believe it is for a number of reasons.A like others have said they want to keep people buying the PS2s.And another reason may be a buisness decision.When the 20 and 60 gig first came out they both had pretty much full BC.but nobody bought them,instead the PS2 was still selling better.So Sony figured what the heck,lets take out a feature that nobody is really going to care about anyway and make the console 100 bucks cheaper.I think it is kinda smart especially if you look at how well PS2's sales are.For a outdated console they are still pretty damn good.This is just my two cents.

if they do that im glad i got my 40gb while i did. when ever we get around to getting cable ill need that wifi
