why did killzone 2 flop?

???? It wasn't a flop and it is one of the best looking FPS out there. It is different and it is totally improved from Killzone 1. Why would you compare TPS to FPS in the first place.

im not starting a flame war here but i always see comments on the net saying that killzone 2 is the best FPS ever, i personally never played it as i mostly just play TPS, e.g MGS4, RDR, GTA4, it sold 675,000 in a year, in contrast halo odst sold 2,000,000 in one day please dont ban mehyperjayson

killzone 2 was not a flop. It sold well and is still selling. It won multiple awards ranging from best shooter of 2009 to best online multiplayer of 2009 here on gamespot. btw keep posting threads like this in these forums and you won't be around much longer.

Not sales mate. Stop argueing with people that know what their talking about. A game flops when it is hyped based on its score. The game was hyped to get either a 9 or above and it got a 9. The game has around 2.7 million copies sold so far and that is not bad at all compared to the majority of games. If you keep argueing then I will know that you are simply here to bother us.

It just looked good, and it was an OK game, gameplay wise. It didn't really flop. Plus the first one sucked.

1st: it didnt flopped, it met its hype, its a great and intense game with great graphics and extremely enjoyable.

second: it didnt sold 675000 in a year, stop checking vgchartz cus it sucks...the game sold over 1 million copies in 3 months and that is great. the game still sell good, I bougt my copy 4 days ago and I think its a great game

3rd: you are comparing it to HALO...in case you dont know, if you put HALO on any videogame...it will instantly sell over 1 million copies on launch, and same for mario, they are so awfully overrated with such a rabid fanbase.

4th: you are getting banned

Comparing the sales of a shooter game to Halo is like comparing platformers to Mario, just like someone else kind ofsaid anyway.The competition doesn't stand a chance at matching those sales. But judging by the comments here, the sales figures proposed in the original post aren't accurate anyway.
