Mainly for the games, the old school 2d RPG's and plethora of turn based games attracted me to the PSP and I only recently bought it to and im appreciating the other functions - mainly using it as a MP3 player aswell!
I got mine a couple months after it came out, it was so freakin tight, and all my friends had one, so I saved and was able to get mine 2 months after it came out.
i bought mine simply becuz I couldn't pass up the deal from my cousin who wanted to get rid of it. 60 bucks for the PSP, GTA:VCS, Sims 2, and Madden 07....
then i thought of the online multiplayer possibilities with a router, since i'd never had online play before. :-)
multimedia, i wanted a personal video player and the psp had the biggest screen for the lowest price. But then i got into loco roco and lumines and i dont even put many videos on my memory stick.
The aobve, mp3 player, video player (porn, LOL), burnout game series, power stone, latest tekken game, show off, I had the money
And it has gotten even better
Truly a next gen console, since there are no more ps2 games, I can use it while the PS3 gets a good kick ass game (Killzone 2 probably will make me buy one)
I bought it because of the brand (Playstation) totally changed my gaming so I guess they gotta have the best portable, plus the multimedia was good but failed.
I regretfully bought mine on impulse when I got paid and stopped over at Gamestop. I regret it because I can't get my personal videos onto the damn thing when I use that Video 9 program. I really wanted to show my clients videos on the thing, but it won't take my MPEG4's or AVI's no matter what I do. I only use it to play Tiger every now and then.
