Why did you choose a PS3 over a 360?

I have a 360, PS3, Wii, and I may get a (gaming) PC... so yeah. I stopped paying for the 360's LIVE service a couple of months ago and now Ihave ayear left, as I activated one of theXboxLIVE Gold cards I had laying around...

I didn't because I had a 360 first which I got in 2006 it's still working fine to this day then got a PS3 in 2008. I've always prefered Playstation since the original and I like the exclusives that Sony have to offer and I prefer the PS controls.

Free online, I have a PS1, PS2 and a PSP. Why break the chain. Im also used to the Dualshock controller.

Free online, GT5, Twisted Metal, and other excluseves, includes Wi-Fi, and I like the controller more.

Edit: and it plays blu-ray.

Because of the free online and I also enjoy it being my one stop shop for all my original PS1 games, PS2 games, and PS3 games as well as playing blurays and displaying DVDs beautifully. I honestly was getting worried that the system was in a steady decline for a while there, but now that it's selling great, getting great exclusives and 3rd party support, I'm glad I made the decision that I did.

I originally went to the store to trade in my PS2 and a couple of games to buy a 360...it had all my fave/anticipated games at the time (ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, too human (lol), alan wake etc.)

but as I was about to pay for it I started thinking about RROD, yearly online bills etc and then I ended up walking out with a PS3 instead....best decision I've made when it comes to gaming.

Made some good, mature friends on PSN, free online multiplayer, excelent quality exclusives, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 woooo etc. The only thing I can say I still want from the 360 is fable 2....but I'm strongly hoping for it be released on PC soon.

I'm very satisfied with my Station.

Littlebigplanet. But now I play Uncharted, Killzone ect.

I played my ps3 6 hrs straight when I got it.

More reliable system than the 360.

It's a better overall value.

A change of heart, I used to be an Xbox and Sega only, it feels good to own a PS3.... much better this way.

To play Uncharted series.

because i have a 360 and have every great system except xbox, DC,and, Atari 2600 because atari is too old for me and the ps2 has all the games i want that are for dc and xbox. i just needed a system that plays my older games in HD better than ps2 could do with its 1080i

being a racing fan...G25 support!

Not to mention the PS3 being region free, it was easier to import some games (Wangan Midnight, Initial D: Extreme Stage)

Mostly the exclusives. Free online helped, plus I've always had a PS.

I got it because I had a PS2 before and a PS1 before that. Brand loyalty got me I guess

But I'm happy with my decision because my favorite exclusives are on the PS3

I've been a Sony fan since the ps1 and I'll continue to support their current and future consoles. The free online and awesome exclusives pretty much sealed the for deal for me.

Had two 360s before the PS3. They both broke, now i got the PS3 and have not looked back. Don't get me wrong the 360 is a good console just not for me. Doesn't this belong in System wars, or atleast change your title.GrandJury

This is literally the same as me. Only difference for me was that I really really wanted MGS4 so I was probably gonna get a PS3 eventually anyway.

To be quite frank, I didn't. I own all of the current gen consoles, as I have owned all of the past generations. And in my opinion, it's the only way to get the most out of this hobby. If I were forced to choose between them though, I would stick with the PS3 till the end because of the exclusives, and the reliability. raven_squad

Well, for the 18 years I've been a video gamer, I've grown up with Sony and Nintendo. Brand loyalty. Plus, most of my friends have a 360 so I just play theirs. I even have my own controller for when I visit.
