Why do 3rd person videogames use a button mash or tell what button to press?

I like when its in some part of the minigames like opening doors jumping from platform and stuff like that, but in the fighting that bores the hell out of me and my brain. The developer should ditch this trend or just turn it off on hard. Theres like 8 buttons on the controller, the analogue buttons plus it is possible to make moves with the analogues it has 360 degres on it. Make a g3rd person action fighting game that have great grafics great gameplay for 2010 please.

Ninja gaiden devil may cry God of war Onimusha all of these games have very complex combos and moves to do you only button mash if you want to and you cant get away with that on harder levels

Just by playing the of demo Dante's Inferno I got myself traped in the combo loop, tap that button make it look great to kill a monster like in GOW 2, at least GOW2 had great story I dont know about Dante's Inferno but it seems to boring. Nothing compares to the fighting in DMC and Onimusha so I want to see something that beats them. My only hope is Castlevania Lords of Shadow.
