halo 3 and gears was reviewed like the hour it was release or somethingGamerboi27they are finding ways to give it a low rating. like uncharted... 8.0 because it was too hard. Halo 3 got a quick review but like a day later they posted how it wasn't really HD and ran at 640p that could of cost the game some points.

Then get a job at GS or another site and change things.
Using Halo 3 and Gears of War as examples doesn't make sense. Those were 2 of the most anticipated games of this year and last year, so having a prompt review makes sense. Uncharted was nowhere near as anticipated as those 2 games, so I don't see your point at all.

so your saying just because it's hyped it deserves a quick review? both of those games deserve their ratings but PS3 games are treated unfair at gamespot. uncharted(9.1) and ratchet(9.4) got better ratings at IGN[QUOTE="Large_Soda"][QUOTE="Gamerboi27"]they are finding ways to give it a low rating. like uncharted... 8.0 because it was too hard. PS3 games are not treated unfair on GS, they are unfair to you, so now you side with IGN because they are more inline with your thoughts. So great, take both reviews into consideration, that's what a smart person does. I think IGN was too giving in their reviews of those games, but I think GS nailed Uncharted, but was off with R&C, but that is just an opinion.
You claiming bias is just stupid and childish. You even say in your first post that Uncharted is an awesome....I repeat awesome game, maybe not everyone will like it. So you are willing to admit that it may not be as special to some people as it is to you, but you claim bias when a site reviews it below your standards? Grow up.
hey man, don´t call people stupid. that was completely uncalled for.
GS overrates a lot of games, and underrates as well. but every site does that. there is no single perfect site for reviews and completely unbiased opinions. so you should grow up and try to be a little more mature when talking to other people.

I'm not saying Uncharted is a bad game but it did not have the hype surrounding like Halo 3 did.

UT3 is primarily an online game. how do you review an online game without other people have the game yet? the PS3 doesn't have something PartnerNet like the 360 for those with preview builds to play the game online.

by that logic, MGS4, FF13, FF13V, Killzone2 and GOW3 should have reviews the day they come out.[QUOTE="Large_Soda"]by that logic, MGS4, FF13, FF13V, Killzone2 and GOW3 should have reviews the day they come out. Then get a job at GS or another site and change things.

i think there is more to it than just the amount of hype that gets it a quick review.
Halo 3 had a beta. this meant that once the review copy came out, the review really only had to hop online for a small amount of time (just to see what was adjusted) and to play the single player (10 hours at the most).
Gears of War also had a short campaign, and Epic demoed the multiplayer at every gaming event. people who saw the Chainsaw Massacre at the premier even got to play the game's multiplayer.
when was the last time Square gave early looks into their FF games?? hell, even when the Japanese versions come out, Square doesn't give American reviewers a preview build of the game for them to look at. American reviewers frequently have to import the game themselves in order to see some sort of preview of the game. and if they don't know Japanese... then they pretty much have to wait for the review copy in order to experience the game for the first time.
because gamespot is run by a bunch a facist corporate nazis who only wanna make money at the expense of others. welcome to america.JaySin8706
We will soon be the Corporate States of America. Instead of in god we trust; "In Gates We Trust." One Nation, Under the Dollar.

i see your point, but that wasnt what i was trying to say. i know that these games wont have reviews out the first day. what i was trying to say is just because a game is hyped alot doesnt mean that it should get reviewed instantly. halo 3 and gears had reasons to why the reviews came so fast, as you just pointed out. large soda just said since those game were hyped so much, they got reviews instantly. if going by his logic, MGS4, FF13, FFV13, Killzone2, and GOW3 will have reviews the day they come out also because these are the most anticipated games for the ps3 next year.According to a "staff" member, GS won't release the score of a big hyped AAA title if its flopped here. The marketing department for GS supposedly has a deal with all the writers to not release the scores of highly anticipated games that flopp. This is to give the developers of said game a heads up as well as give the game a little of time to sale before negative press.
In other words, it's a way to protect their marketing dollars with developers. Ever wonder why Uncharted took so long to review....it was only a 8 hour game yet for some reason it took a long to to release......oh that's right, PS3's last hope for a AAA (majority of people gave it AAA) and it got an 8 here. There is your reason.
