Why do i still have NAT3?

ok so a few weeks ago i got my wireless signal at nat 2 then randomly the other day it just goes back to nat 3 and then i decide to hardwire my ps3 to the router and it still has nat 3 any ideas?

Try power cycling your router, that may get the settings back to normal. If not, you may have to go in and re-do your port forwarding.

Yeah, I have the same problem... And no idea what you're talking about.

lol Powercycling means to turn off and then on. So turn it off for 15 minutes or so then it will reset. Then turn it back on. (Unplug it)

NAT type 3 has nothing to do with wireless versus wired networking. It means the ports aren't forwarded from your router to your PS3 correctly. I've spoken to a few guys on here recently and they've noticed that after a recent update their PS3 was moved from NAT type 2 to 3 so I'm guessing that Sony have broken UPnP support... again. The quick fix would be to put your PS3 in a DMZ and forget about forwarding ports at all.

ive been offline for a few hours after messing around with the settings. happy to be online ill go check if i got nat 2 yet
