Some people think it will fail because they can't play it on their white console.
EDIT:: Before any flaming takes place, it's a joke.

It doesn't work on my white PS3? :P
I WONT be picking up haze because 2 reasons:
1) Call of Duty 4, Assasins Creed, and Uncharted all come to PS3 NOV
2) Haze to me doesn't look anything better then average. One of the main features being pushed is use of nectar. To me nectar just seems to blur everyhing a little and add a glowing affect nothing great. If it gave you features like crysis maybe I would feel differently.

lol :P
I think haze will be great, the AI and mechanics at work in that game looks unbelievable, plus it doesn't hurt to have a critically acclaimed dev making it :P

LOL good one that's pretty funny lol
it may look generic, but it looks great
theres some cool stuff that i don't think has been done like the nectar, being able to take peoples guns, playing dead
It's from the makers of TS which i heard was good, and Goldeneye, everyones favorite shooter, so unless the demo that comes out in a few weeks is absolutely horrible, i am picking up haze to go a long with Cod4
[QUOTE="ImaPirate0202"]It's being made by Free Radical, so I doubt it's gonna fail.pandadude01
I agree
I agree with you for the most part but keep in mind that even though free radical has put out some of the best fps games that their staff is bound to change as the years go by. Even I think Haze will be a great game I don't know if it can match or be better than cod4? Since cod4 comes out before Haze most people will own cod4 and will only pick up Haze if the game is better or has something that makes it worthwhile that cod4 doesn't have.
I doubt it will fail. In fact it would have to try pretty hard to fail. This is not because of the developer's or the game's inherent greatness, but because of the PS3's situation at the moment. Granted I think Free Radical is fantastic and I love their games but that is not their ace in the hole; that distinction goes to thelack of games for the PS3. I think this is the same reason that Ratchet and Clank is selling so well. The PS3 marketplace is not overcrowded with games so excellent games that might not have fared as well as they could have on,say, the PS2 will be able to on the PS3. Ironically what worriesSonypresents itself as an excellent opportunity for great developers who have never been able to find mass appeal on the level of say Halo, Mario, or the Final Fantasy games. So it would be pretty hard for Haze to fail, but if Free Radical does what it is capable of then this could become one of the, if not the FPS franchise for the PS3. No doubt Free Radical is aware of the situation and will come with their best effort.

I agree. The graphics look great, and so does the gameplay mechanics...I wasn't even interested in FPSs until I got the PS3, Resistance being my first, and this will be my second (because of the sci-fi elements the two games have).
hrm if ur saying that cod4 is gonna b different from all other cod games...ur such a foo l.ill b getting the game for sure it has
a story line not like cod games just jumping from place 2 place fighting pointless repetative fights

But I think Call of Duty series are the lamest of all shooting game series. Haze looks to be better than COD4
I don't think it will fail, but it looks like there isn't much of anything that I haven't seen before in a fps, I'll be skipping this oneJamie_1987lol then i suggest not to play CoD4 lmao
THERE ARE A COUPLE REASONS AS TO WHY PEOPLE THINK HAZE WILL FAIL:
A) Halo Fanboys who arent willing to let go of their "Beloved" Game
B) People who think Haze is just made by a bunch of nobodys
C) THey genuninly believe Haze will fail (despite never playing it)
You people need to understand something: Haze will NOT fail because it is being made by FREE RADICAL. Who are they? Some of you probably dont even know (And yet you still judge Haze as a fail). Free Radical is a small company that made PS2's popular FPS game: TimeSplitters. F.R's PS2 success was made by a team of EIGHTEEN PEOPLE. Timesplitters was recognized as one of PS2's best shooters.
Free Radical were also apart of the team that made GoldenEye and Perfect Dark on the N64- these games recieved the highest marks on review sites such as Gamespot- even more than Halo fanboy's precious game.
So yes, I Believe that HAze will succeed because of Free Radical. I also want to say that I love Halo, but I am not blind enough to know when a good FPS comes along. Some people need to understand that Halo isnt the gemstone to Fisrt Person Shooters. That title belongs to games like Doom and Perfect Dark, and most importantly Unreal Tournament.
So please, before some of you people dump all over Haze, know some information about the game besides "nectar" and "four player online". I hate it when people judge a game before they know how the game plays (Im talking about people who say in their gut that a game will fail. People who predict a game will fail is different because thats an opinion and not an arrogant claim)
Please keep an open mind about Haze and Free Radical. The company is sorely overlooked because of bigger names and hype on other games.
Thanks :)
[QUOTE="wv06"]i think it looks awsome.. il get it before COD4wizdom
Your one of the very few, reports on Haze have been mixed at best, They are better shooters comming out this year then Haze.
like what half of them been delayed. :(i dont think the guys that made golden eye/timspliters can fail at fps... but then again factor 5 failed at a air fighting gamexxgunslingerxx
agreed. i love TS and TS2...but factor5 demonstrated how things can go wrong
