seriously why is this my 360 and ps3 get hotter then my ps2

You mean the current gen ^^ Simply because of more powerful CPU & GPU chips which yield faster processing speed and meet high demands for modern advanced graphic engines.
Because all a ps2 does is play games, and the ps3 has so much more stuff to do than playing games, wich means it needs to use more energy, and cool off the chips because they get really hot.blabbyboy
Actually most of those features require very little processing power. Like PS1 level or below.

Yea. I mean comparing ps2 to ps3 is like comparing.....a bicycle to a motorcycle. Of course the one with more technical moving parts is going to produce more heat. You mean the current gen ^^ Simply because of more powerful CPU & GPU chips which yield faster processing speed and meet high demands for modern advanced graphic engines.

True.

Even if the PS3 could only play games, it would use more energy compared to the PS2. It would still have the same components inside. Same amount of power would be used.
