why do people ask what game to buy when niether are out yet?

it is odd to me how people will ask which one to get, when no one has played either. What is even funnier is when they ask between 2 games that are completely different then the other for. For example asking wether they should sport game x vs fps game x! when the game comes out decide then!

i cant stand when somebody asks which to games to get, and the first post is always there totally different games, which does nothing to help them...

I love it when people make topics that are just as annoying as the other topics.Really,if you don't like them don't post in them.Yeah it does get tedious seeing what games should I get topics over and over,but you making this topic will not solve that.I don't mind helping some of the people with their problems,especially the ones that are asking for older cheaper PS3 titles.K1LLR3175

I don't really mind people asking what game to get every 5 minutes, I'll help them if I've played both games (this obviously doesn't apply to games that aren't out yet) I just don't see why people can't make their own decisions. half of these guys would probably buy a hannah montana game over Uncharted if enough people told them too.. No offence to Hannah Montana fans intended, it's just an example since I can't think of anything else...

although I do find some of them amusing. I'm pretty sure I saw someone asking which game to get out of LBP or MGS4!

Regardless whether the game is out or not, an individual that asks the following; should I play/get X or X? has clearly left out the possibility of reading some articles, reviews or as much as doing some research.

It is because people are lazy and they evidentally can't do their own research. Why would you trust a stranger to pick out your games anyway.

Whether the game is out or not, I don't get the asking others what game you should get. The only person that knows exactly what game you are into or want is yourself. Read a couple of reviews form your own opinion on the game and decide.

Whether or not you get a game shouldn't be based on others opinions or suggestions or even soley on reviews. You read reviews to form your own opinion.

Simple answer: people are really smart.

Ok people I need your expert help on which game I should get: inFamous or Prototype? They just both look good and I havent played either so I need some help.
