The release could be october but i suspect december-march 09so wen is the real one coming out? doesnt it seem like theyre trying to make it look like the best game ever goinn to be made...although grapcis look sick

I mean it's just a overpriced demo...I don't really get it.x2926014the easiest way to get it is that it is called the freedom of choice. You don't have to get why people do the things they do, but my best guess would be that people "wanted it" and that is why they bought it.
I mean it's just a overpriced demo...I don't really get it.x2926014
I bought it for $40 when it first came out and have no regrets. With online play, I feel the price tag was warranted. I get the feeling you're one of those people who will buy the full game and then complain about not being able to take a hairpin turn at 160mph.

I believe I read in an IGN interview that it will no be until 2009.
1) Its not a demo. A demo is a slice of a finished product. Gran Turismo 5 is far from finished.
2) Its a Beta. People buy into betas because they want early access to games and want to contribute to the final product.
3) Its advanced access to one of the highest grossing franchises in gaming history along side Mario and GTA.

this "demo" contains more content and cars than most full priced games. GT5 wont be coming out for a looooonnng time,, id be surprised if even 2009 (probably early 2010, which is ridiculous but a reality)... for those people that dont wanna wait that long they have an option. It pisses me off when people get all girly upset about this game, nobody forces you to buy it, so dont and move onsignore
This is my opinion...
I spent as much time on it as a $60 purchase especially while getting owned on S class.
GT5 won't even be worked on until all of the GT5P updates are finished based on an ign interview.
Anyone have trouble with S-class (S-7 and S-10) after the update.
This "demo" has more cars than many "full" racing games (Grid), and almost as many tracks as some others (Motorstorm), so I don't see what the problem is. With a good selection of cars and a decent online mode, it pretty well justifies its $40 price tag. Hell, I've already gotten more playtime out of it than I have out of some $60 games

3) Your point being? the highest grossing GT title was GT3 (14 mil) while GT4 is still selling (currently at 10.4 mil). There is no other racing title (simulator or otherwise) that comes close. GT 5 Prologue has sold nearly as much copies as full released titles in the same genre. Stop hating.

Well, youve just owned yourself. The game is $20 cheaper than full games (priced at $40 compared to 60). If you live somewhere where games are more expensive, than its still a 1/3 cheaper than full priced ones. Face it, youve been owned by everybody in this thread. No never once said why its overpriced, ignored the fact that content wise it matches 'full games'. Gt5 proper will be a MASSIVE game, and it will make all racing sims look overpriced in comparison, not just the prologue

The main reason to buy GT 5: Prologue is to keep you occupied while you wait forever for the real GT 5. I remember waiting for GT 4. First it was supposed to come out late 2003, then early 2004, then spring 2004, then summer 2004, then fall 2004, then December 14, 2004, then it finally came out late in February of 2005 talk about a lot of delays and frustration for the GT fans. I can see the same thing happening to GT 5. Theres just no solid release date.nVidiaGaMer
Sounds like PlayStation Home.
The main point that made me not buy it was that the cars dont get damaged. Realistic damage modeling has been done in racing games for years. I dont get it.hillelslovakummm. no. surface damage has been done for years. Realistic damage model has NEVER been done. If Gran Turismo 5 could do it and not SURFACE DAMAGE like GRID, or TOCA or the like, It would be phenomenal. Currently the feel of the car it really good especially in cockpit view.
I hope you people know that a collision at 30 - 60 miles per hour can total cars.
I mean it's just a overpriced demo...I don't really get it.x2926014
Do you even know how much content is in this game? GT5 Prologue is even bigger then Need for speed. and Motor storm plus online racing. This is not a demo.

I agree, over priced demo. Who pays for a freakn' demo? I've never bought a game just for a demo. I'm not so wasteful with money I guess. It would have to be a game I actually want, the demo included would just be a bonus.DenjiOh you mean like Donald Trumph and his Gold toilet seat? uggh... when I was a kid, I liked lamborghini's a lot, so when I saw lamborghini 64 I had to have it. that full priced game had 3 levels, 3 cars, and the multiplayer mode had no bots and was foggy as hell. I played the hell out of it.

Yes, it's a demo that should be free. No way I'm buying a demo with that price.
