I actually like them, there more challenging then just holding down the trigger with an RPD whilst camping in a corner.

I love WWII shooters. It's my favorite time in History. But not all WWII shooters are created equal. Any Medal of Honor since Rising Sun was horrible, CoD3 was bad and i expect the same from World at War (treyarch is plain terrible).
But CoD2 was amazing, same with all the Brothers In Arms, and the early of the Medal of Honors.
I would like to see some fresh takes on WWII however, perhaps a game that focuses more on the Soviet front, like the early levels of CoD2, or maybe the Allies invasion of Italy. I would also like to see a game that allows you to play as the Axis powers just for the sake of seeing something different but that will never be made.
I prefer FPS set in modern times. I can't stand a WWII shooter anymore, I think the last one I enjoyed was Medal of Honor:Frontlines. But I don't mind if it's like an alternate thing going on like Resistance.anime_gamer007
You know what you're saying, sounds like something i would say
I want more future stuff.
Can you imagine how ridiculously fun a Star Wars FPS made by Infinity Ward would be?
Oh Milanta..

I like the WW2 games, because I like the history behind them, and you sort of get a taste of what it must have been like.
But I like all shooters really.
The problem is that is has being overused. How many times do you have seen D-day, or paratroopers, or the french country side in those games? Call of Duty 1 was the best because it actually felt fresh (even though it was not the first WWII FPS).
And about your question, I prefer future/sci.fi FPS, because they (the good ones) use a lot more imagination in both weapons and settings...
