It is pretty funny because I have very selective tastes and when my PS3 arrives there are at least five games I want and another three or four coming this holiday season not to count other games I would consider once I have played more demos. The problem is I won't have enough cash to buy more than one or two.

That's the problem with me too. There are plenty of games to choose from but they're mostly new releases and aren't many used versions available yet so it's hard to start a big collection.
I think all the consoles have good games. The problem is fanboyism has hit ridiculous highs these past few gens. I remember back in the Genesis/SNES days, people picked sides but that didn't stop them from enjoying games on different systems. Now people pick a side and just want to argue rather than enjoy good games.Gamer46
Fanboys have always been around I can remember arguments in the playground over the Commodore 64 and the Spectrum. And boy does that show my age. I have a PS3 but I enjoy playing BioShock on my friends 360

LOL, I had a 64. And they also had the 128 I think? Heck we argued at league about if the PS2 could survive, with the Dreamcast so far ahead and strong. "By the way I said it would and more :P." Thus the arguments. But that did not stop us from playing the Dreamcast after league. But I bought the PS2 first, on release day. While all my friends just kept their Dreamcasts :) Its fun when its with friends. But the Micro Sony one has went far beyond the user. Because games are a medium that may control all of entertainment latter. Its a huge investment for whoever has that. So now its cut throat. Sega and Sony and Nintendo did not deal with each other, the same way Micro came in and did. And that started a fire. And its only gonna get hotter.

Yes, but I don't think fanboys were as stupid as they are now. Back in the day I remember people picking sides but they could still enjoy games on other consoles. Now if somebody doesn't have a certain console(s) that console "sucks." It's a bit ridiculous.
Ill tell you another thing also. And this is sorta off topic. But this will be key. As of now for 08, what Sony wants to do is win the "games we have war." MGS4, GT 5 ,whatever. Much later, 3rds may be on everything. But how powerful is this machine? By that time latter, the PS3 hardwear may be able to stretch beyond its competitor by a good bit. And so than you go to a stage of, "well Heres a muti platform, but it just looks so much better on the PS3." Can the machine get that far ahead by than? Can the developers learn to make whats tough now, easy by than? I think its why you see delays. I think teams are getting 5 levels in, and going. Oh!! Now we get how to do that. And they have to back track 5 levels, and re code all of them, to what they learned via getting their. But if the magic tricks are found to get this system blasting to what it can do. Than you also win the war of what system plays that game best. And the word is, this system has by far the most potential. So is that what can also play huge factor later. Will see?truenextgen
I actually think thats more to do with devs being lazy. I mean, look at COD4. It looks just as good if not better on PS3, and if you think about it, how many games have IW made for PS3. The answer is that this is their first one. Also, there has been no delays on this, compared to every other multi-plat under the sun.

I still have my Dreamcast and every one in a while a pull it out and blast away at House of the Dead 2. I think the internet has made the whole Fanboy thing so much worse; there will always be that sort of person who just enjoys trolling round forums. There will be people on the 360 boards going on about how they can watch Blu-Ray.
I hate that the developers have to "dumb down" the PS3 versions of games because they wouldn't fit on the 360s.
I read that GTAIV would be so much bigger and cooler but because of the limited space on the 360 DVD format they can't do alot of things they can on Blu ray, so we get 9 gigs of GTAIV insted of 4 times that much.
I ask you to name one exciting game that will not get old quickly, lasts long, can be replayed, and is exclusive to the PS3. Also, i ask you to name a good multiplayer game on the PS3 that is exclusive. There are no such games. It is not that PS3 has no games, its that XBox has a lot of the same games and a lot of better exclusives for a better price. The Wii is in a totally different category because it is so much different from the other two. It also has better games than the PS3 and will bet getting many good ones this holiday season. Most of the PS3 games coming out htis holiday season are being or will be released on the Xbox at a later date.Imisstheoldwow
I'll name 2 right now ..Ratchet and Clank and Motorstorm...tons of replay in both that you will never enjoy on the suckbox.
When people tell me the 360 has more/better games, I simply explain to them that I'd still have a 360 if it was still working.
Then I explain to them about how I still own both PSone and PS2. Over all, Sony has always satisfied my needs and I'm a happy customer.(ie: free online, great games, quality, sheer available options out of the box at no extra cost etc etc)So why do I need to look elsewhere?

Warhawk.
What do you consider "better exclusives"? That is a matter of personal taste. Not everyone likes Halo or Gears of War. If the Wii had better games then the PS3, I would have purchased one of them instead.
[QUOTE="stickstick86"]because they are stupid people...donnygorgas
and 360/wii fanboys.
All fanboys are stupid. Gamers are the smart ones. It's mostly fanboys, but I guess a lot of people don't know too much about the games since they don't look. Honestly I have more PS3 games than I did when I had a PS2 for my first year. I have, including downloadable games, 15. I was lucky if I got 5 the first year I had my PS2. I have more games on PS3 than I do with DS, PSP, and Gamecube, which I had much longer.
I think it's bullcrap to say PS3 has no good games.
