Why do they change the box for Greatest hits...

Seriously, who the **** wants to buy that god damn ugly red box. Couldn't they just put a sticker on the shrink wrap that says "greatest hits" and keep the damn transparent box ?

Yep I also hate the greatest hits game cases for Playstation 3. I aways try to avoid the ugly red cases.

Thats why the best time to get a greatest hits is immediately after a specifc title is announced as "greatest hits". Right after the announcement is made, retailers will still have old stock of the old case and they will reduce the price to the greatest hits price. This lets you get the game for the cheaper price but avoid the hideous red box.

Have you seen the new PS3 greatest hits boxes? Sure they're red, but atleast the template looks better

I don't see the big issue with a red case, all that matters to me is that the case is strong & sturdy.

Seriously though, it's not that big of a deal. You can probably walk into most game stores and find a used, normal version if you hate the red so much. I personally don't have a problem with the red cases.

I can understand, when you have a whole library on your shelf you want it to look like a uniform wall of games, not with random red cases. I try to buy the original, but the red case wouldn't stop me from buying them, a great game is a great game.

I actually like the red cases and don't mind them at all. It breaks up the monotany.

Stop your complaining... I would much rather the red design than the hideous PAL grey and yellow art. Seriously, what are they thinking with those colours?

I don't have a problem with the Greatest Hits boxes, all I care is that I get a great game for a great price.

I can't stand those red cases. When I look at my game collection I want all my different games to be uniform. If they want to use the greatest hits label that's cool, but do it with a clear case.

I always thought the Asian "the Best" releases were bad, but that Australian one puts them to shame.

I like the red cases WAYYYY better then the old green ones way back when. In fact, the full-up red plastic looks cool to me. I like it even better then 360 green.

Who the **** cares..? You just put your disc in there... it's not a big deal.

I hate those red boxes too, they look so ugly espacially when u have all black labels in your collection. Good thing for ebay though cause u can usually buy black label for the same price or cheaper. I was able to get Fallout 3 black label for $18 brand new.

UK, Australian (Me :))and New Zealanders get a platinum box. Its silver and has yellow for the ps3 logo. It looks pretty hardcore. The Greatest hits box are crap compared to platinum

Seriously who cares about the box being red ? Can't beat the fact you got the game you want for a cheaper price.

My favorite color is Red, so I'm cool with it.

I don't mind them too much because the switched up the look of PS3 boxes anyways. So even though I only have 1 greatest hits box in my collection I have ton of the old styled boxes and an increasing number of the newer styled ones.

No you're not the only one, that crap annoys the hell out of me. If I ever get a cheap used game at Gamestop and they get out that red box, I ALWAYS ask if there's an older original box in the back because I can't stand the way those red boxes look on my shelf, especially since I'm a collector.

They do the same garbage with the Xbox 360 Greatest Hits, just plain stupid.

To make them stand out more on the shelf.

No one would nocitce a sticker on the plastic, but they will notice a bright red box.
