The PS3 should be able to render and process more, and store more information on its blu-ray disks, but it when you compare two games on PS3 and 360, the PS3 just looks whitewashed or foggy.

Probably due to developers porting the game. SC: DA was more ''foggier'' and ''washed'' than the 360 version, so was F.E.A.R.

Maybe I can make things CLEAR... EVERY game's screenshots I've seen so far, even MGS - every building, wires, character models, whatever it is IF you look at the edges you can see clearly see that they look shredded instead of straight lines like in 360versions. So to make em disappear, PS3 makes them blur to minimize that effect - thats my personal opinion though.

The PS3 has an unusual lighting system, if the devs dont actualy work with it as Sony says itll come out bright and weird, but if they do itll come out extra vibrant as seen in The Darkness. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21123.html

The games are developed on the 360, then ported to the PS3. Wait till the exclusives come or the multiplatform stuff started on PS3, Haze and Burnout Paradise.

It's commonly believed that PS3 doesn't have as much anti-aliasing capability as xbox360, (at least for now) so that that's why the lines are less crisp than the xbox360 games.

However, PS3 clearly has better draw distance as displayed on a number of games (oblivsion, armor core 4, spiderman) as well as the ability to render more objects (ok this is actually harder to prove because multi-plat form games don't show this at all, so it's hard to compare).

In time, if the devs can figure out how to use cell for antialiasing (if it can be used for that purpose), then you should see more crisp lines.

The 360 has a setup which allows free 4x FSAA, PS3 doesnt. It has to do AA with horsepower.

It depends on the game and the TV, however I've only seen that Def Jam looked foggier on the PS3, so you must not have any clue what you're talking about.

I don't find this to be true at all. Perhaps the video settings on your PS3 or 360 are not right. My PS3 Looks great on my 1080p 50" and my 360 looks good too.

The developers just want a quick buck and they're getting it because our selection of games are sucking it up right now. Wait until Sony launches its fiercest and the third-party devs should get their act together. They'll know what it's like to compete at their best level.

i find it to be the opposite. I own both systems and Ps3 games seem a lot clearer to me....i guess it depends on your tv or your settings on each system.

They both look the same. I brought my 360 to my friends place. I compared my 360 to his ps3 with several games, and they all look the same. If there is a difference, its not significant enough to tell. There's no point to compare these two systems, its not like the last generation.

So thats what they call Anti-Aliasing - Yea I'd say for now its the #1 problem with ports on PS3, but sooner or later someone, Hopefully SONY and all 3rd party developers need to address this issue and get this problem fixed as soon as possible otherwise PS3 is taking major trash talk just b/c of this problem. Im pretty sure the cell is capable of handling this and one good news is that I heard that SONY is gonna provide all devs a kind of INSTRUCTIONmanual If you will to all devs in the upcoming months that will help em understand PS3 alot better.
