Why does everyone hate Uncharted: Drake's Fortune so much?

I have found that there has been alot of negative emotions towards Uncharted 1. I thought that it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience despite it's relative shortness. I am by no means in the mentality that it is better than the second Uncharted, but I thought it was a very good game. There were flaws in it, but the overall experience trumped most of the minor problems. I also liked the story alot as well. Now why do you all not like it so much!

And I also thought that itwas pretty easy, and I liked all the firefights.

I've never really seen big hate for it.

For me, Drake's Fortune was my favorite PS3 game until the masterful Among Thieves came out. Hell I still play Drake's Fortune to this day. For me, a couple of years after its release, it's still amazing.

Like others have said i havent heard any negative things about uncharted 1. Dont know where u are getting that from. I loved that game and now enjoying the 2nd one.

The only thing I've ever heard negatively said towards Drake's Fortune is the

There isn't any hate towards it the game is great but its sequel is just miles better.

I enjoyed Drake's Fortune. Played it enough to Plat it. It is one of those games I will replay in the years to come. Defintely a Keeper.

I'm playing Unchated right now purely for the trophies. It's an ok game, but by no means is impressing me all that much. It is a good looking game with decent firefights. Oh and i haven't gotten to these "zombies" people have been saying is a spoiler. There is no real reason to stick zombies in this game and if there are, my opinion will turn bad pretty quickly about this game.

I always hear people mention that part and, just to clarify: [spoiler] They're cursed Spaniards. They aren't zombies. If anything, they're more like vamps or people changed by possession. As Sir Francis Drake said, "They come as demons." Besides, I found the section acceptable because they at least kinda explained the "how" of everything. [/spoiler]

Either way, I loved the first game and, as someone else mentioned, it was my favorite game until the second came out. I still love it though and just loaned it out to a friend so she can play through it again.

I never hated it, I just never thought it was that special. Uncharted 2, however, is an entirely different story. I just didn't get that fulfilling of an experience from Uncharted 1, but I did think the story was better than the second. I ran into a considerable amount of bugs and glitches on my playthrough of the first title. I fell through the floor twice in one game, and that's just awkward for any game to take you out of the experience like that. I also encountered some audio cut-out and texture pop-in, but nothing as jarring as falling through the floor. All in all, Uncharted 2 was just a much better, more polished and complete game, even if the story was entirely too predictable. It's NOT a realistic game by a longshot, but I alwyays thought it was kind of funny how you could take a crapload of bullets in game but then you take one gut shot and you're all bleeding out hanging over a cliff in a wrecked train. Hmmm...

I haven't seen any hate over Uncharted the only people that have been hating on Uncharted Drake's Fortune I noticed were Tomb Raider fans. Uncharted Drake's Fortune is one of the best on the PS3 but Uncharted 2 I love even more.

story wise the game was great. Game play wise is was average at best.

I've played both Uncharted 1&2 and I prefer the 1st one to the 2nd.

Me neither. I did enjoy the second one more than the first, but both games are spectacular.
