Here's 5 reasons: http://www.gamesradar.com/us/ps3/game/features/article.jsp?articleId=20070214154134589045&releaseId=20060726163237511007§ionId=1003&pageId=20070214154324604081WARRZONEAfter reading that, I can safely say that I am extremely happy that I preordered it.
I mean it's been out for about 8 months on 2 platforms and... as the dev's admit, there is very little difference between the 360 and PS3 version... so why would Gamespot and other reviewers give oblivion a AAA rating when it's just the same (slight changes) game released such a long time after?GenTomSo it's not a AAA game now. since when do AAA's degrade in quality? So i guess any year old AAA's aren't really Awsome games anymore? It's the same damn game but it runs and looks better with stuff added... If it dosen't get the same damn score then it wouldn't make any damn sense...

I hope it scores better so Lemms can be quiet for a bit, I just dont see it happening though.
If the load times are as improved as the developers are saying, and the graphics are better it should definitely get a higher score. The fact that the game was released a year ago shouldn't matter. These are proffessional game critics not some gamer who's 'so over Oblivion'. copperheadfangIt should at least get the same score. It wouldn't make sense if it doesn't. Since it has the same game content plus Knights of the Nine and it looks better out of the box, it should get a higher score (unless they mess up the control scheme or something stupid like that). The load times should also be faster. Blu-Ray drives are slower than DVD drives, but developers can make use of the PS3's hard drive for a cache. Microsoft, on the other hand, restricts developers to use the hard drive like that since every 360 doesn't have a hard drive.
It has been out for 8 months guys.......just another port jointed
if it were a port, 2k Studios would of been released this game a while ago along with other cheap ports such as NBA2k7 which in my opinion is a great game just doesn't have the full potential of what it can actually do for the PS3...the release of Oblivion on ps3 is much later for the simple fact that sony would rather give a stronger contrast to both versions (i.e. faster loading times, maybe more features who knows, possible greater graphics ...and so on)
I heard the guy who scored oblivion for 360 was a oblivion fanboy, so he scored it high. But since hes gone, someoen els will. the game shoudl get atleast 9.3. Its the same game with better graphics and load time, so theres no reason to sue the year old excuse.
If gamestop gives it less then 9.2! LETS MAKE A PETITION!
Its gamespot -_- Look at VF5! they clearly hate the ps3 its likely they'll give it a very low 9 or an 8 something. and even look at the Wii's old virtual games. the games didn't change yet their scores all went down. gamespot bases on the age of a game, boo!
There's a difference when rating a 15 year old game made on a 16 bit console to a game made not even a year ago with improvements over the original. Its gamespot -_- Look at VF5! they clearly hate the ps3 its likely they'll give it a very low 9 or an 8 something. and even look at the Wii's old virtual games. the games didn't change yet their scores all went down. gamespot bases on the age of a game, boo!
