Maybe you were downloading the update during peak time?

Peak time meaning it's that time after people have finished work and school and before they sleep.

ISPs typically list their speeds as Mbps. Note the lowercase "b", which makes that megaBITS per second; not megabytes per second (MBps). 8 bits = 1 Byte. You can do the math.

Also, typically the speed listing includes the words "up to" before the number. Meaning that it's not guaranteed to be that top speed 100% of the time.

Do what I do. Download at night.

Megs go by like seconds...

i have this problem sometimes but my ps3 has pretty slow download times in general. i blame my router. it's a crappy verizon standard router and doesn't let me get the full effect of my speed.

dont know what 2 tell you i just purchased dao expansion. which was 112 mb downloadeded in 90seconds. i have a 50mb download ive found psn to be funny at times. i can download 6-8 gigs an hour onxbox live&steamand around 3-5 gigs an hour on psn. i guess that what we get for free service it cost alot of money to run psn for sony.
